The Miami Dolphins met with free-agent wide receiver Michael Crabtree recently but did not meet his demands, according to a report from the
Miami Herald.
Miami offered Crabtree just about $3 million but the WR is seeking a contract worth closer to $4.5 million. The wide gap in price led to Crabtree deciding to check his options elsewhere. Thus far, it does not appear a team has stepped up and beat Miami's offer, but Crabtree is still set to meet with the Oakland Raiders.
Crabtree was a first-round pick in 2009 but
his career has been mostly a disappointment. In six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, Crabtree has only played all 16 games three times. Crabtree has 26 touchdowns in his career and has never been selected for the Pro Bowl.
