Michael Deiter has been a dud so far

Is this correct? By the number of likes maybe it is. Is anyone of the group of Prince, Dieter, Calhoun salvageable? At least back up?
Deiter is s backup, draft a THUMPER. Prince is developmental. If we draft Tua I would think Wirfs is part of that package.

You guys are worried about Grier because he can't draft OL?

Calm down, everyone on this site tells me OL doesn't matter anyway, because Tua will make the OL look better than they are and will immediately make us a contender by year two

Not impressive yet, but this class is very much incomplete, and I always consider UDFA's quasi draft picks.

Round 1 - Not super impressive yet, but solid like the rest of the class imo.
Round 2 - I liked the moves, we get an EXTRA 2nd for next year, plus Rosen on the cheap for a few years. Rosen has been disappointing so far, but he is talented and we needed a talented young player like him at that position, even if he only ends up being a back up.
Round 3 - Deiter, doesn't look so hot.
Round 5 - Incomplete, but imo looks to have some decent potential
Round 6 - Prince, impressive so far, needed a back up RT for the future
Round 7 - Cox/Gaskin - not looking too hot either, but factor in Mark Walton and we potentially got a steal in the 7th or later which is ALWAYS a win.

Probably not a great class, but still incomplete due to the upcoming 2nd and the return of Van Ginkel which could make it quite good.

Grier already has a great draft class to his name, 2016 which he deserves FULL credit for.

Grier has a keen eye for talent and is heading this team in the right direction, meanwhile in Philly superstar GM Howie Roseman got his a** kissed all off-season, but has the second oldest roster in the NFL and his inability to draft well is KILLING the team and destroying their Superbowl window lmfao.

Go Nats!!!

Not anymore, Philly fans are starting to see the light. Some of my friends want him replaced. His recent drafts have been HORRIBLE. LOL!

That was said by absolutely nobody.

Not in those words, but a bad OL is called an 'excuse' if a QB can't deliver wins
Also never said by anybody. A bad OL is an excuse in order to actually perform at some competent level, which is absolutely true. Whether that leads to wins or not depends on the rest of the talent on the team.

It's why Fitz has less than HALF the sack rate of Rosen in about the same number of snaps. There were TOOOOOONS of people saying, "How can we expect Rosen to look good when we have a historically bad Oline!?!?!?!?!"

Fitz's sack % is right at his career average behind this o-line. Rosen's % is higher than Tannehil's was at any point during his career. O-line sucks, but QB makes a big difference.

Yup, which is why the excuses for Rosen being horrible were so infuriating.

The OL is improving, to include Deiter. Against the Bills Fitz was upright the entire game. Zero sacks and only 3 hits by a decent Buffalo defense. The issue on the OL is Webb who most likely has no future with the team. Of the other 4, you have decent depth and may see one or two (Deiter and Davis) as starters next year. Steelers will be a good test.

Grier Groper knows what it means

Look on the bright side though. Grier is going to stock your roster with another half dozen of those early and often

Yeah, but 10 bad-to-mediocre linemen are better than one top LT. There's cumulative talent level effect or something.

Edit: cum

So there's no correlation between a QB's performance and wins? No, you didn't say that, but another myth around here is QB can carry his team.

Nonetheless, the OL is playing better a d we'll know in January how many starters there are
