Michael Deiter

He should and will remain on your team. In an era most teams might keep 9 (most keep 8) OL having a guy on your roster that can play every position on the OL is invaluable.

Allows for a ton of flexibility.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that, given two qualifications
1) Replace him as a starter. Can be a backup, until someone better is found
2) There are some who don't use your "unless." They want him replaced NOW. Probably some of the same people who gave up on DVP, Gesicki, McMillan, and others
People that gave up on DVP can’t be grouped with those giving up on Gesicki. Took devante 5 seasons. Shouldn’t take that long for 1st rd picks to start paying dividends

The instant judgment and condemnation of young (rookie) players
is IMO a hallmark of negativity for the sake of negativity. Deiter
is a prime example of a kid that demonstrated NFL qualities while
obviously needing some "seasoning" beyond his rookie campaign
to develop into a consistent NFL player.

Part of the "make up" Flores is looking for are kids that are truly
dedicated and 100% committed to being PROs. Kids like "that"
may not be produce instant *flash* but they will outwork others
and often result in a quality finished product.

That said, no guarantee Deiter develops into a significantly improved
version of himself this off season + TC, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does.

DVP is a rare bird and the exception... Gesicki will emerge next year even better -- kid works hard
and with his smarts + game experience + growing confidence = huge upside!
