One thing we have now that we didn't have before is the Tannenbaum position. Not saying this loss would be enough to nuke the current staff but we do have a early bye week and if our play isn't improved by that time does Tannenbaum have the conections to hustle up a worthwhile staff to replace all our current coaches?

If Philbin gets fired mid-season (a real possibility, to be honest), they will promote an interm HC from within the staff and play out the season like that.

Ain't happening. Philbin gets the season to make the playoffs. No way he's fired at the bye week. Zero.

I don't see it happening, but I think it's a possibility if they are 1-3 going into the bye.

Tannenbaum should have been allowed to hire his own HC.

Ross does not have the balls to fire Philbin. If anything, he will offer Philbin a demotion and they will mutually agree to part ways after he is handed a large amount of money (similar to Ireland).

We should have fired Ireland when we hired Philbin.

When we hired Tannenbaum, we should have fired Philbin. I think they go hand in hand (the GM/guy making moves and coach).

Maybe, but that really doesn't excite me. I think our coordinators are actually worse then Joe.

do you really think someone would take the job without a long-term contract? do you think we would hire someone after week 2 to a long-term contract?

do you ever wonder why it has never happened and never will?

if your reality doesn't excite you then welcome to the rest of our worlds

Tennenbaum is a failure. His sports science program is a complete failure. His draft was s failure. His signing of Suh was a failure.

I would not get rid of Lazor...Hickey should have had his choice not Tannenbumm. To late for that I guess.

This is why I've said you want to point any fingers it goes right at Ross.Out of his league IMO.
