Mike Anderson was cut and Shanahan loves having a good crop of backs. Now either he is going to draft one or he is still planning on bringing Ricky in. Tatum Bell will not carry the load...

Any thoughts?

Helloooo.....Ron Dayne. Ok Just kidding. Regardless Their running game will land on it's feet no matter who they bring in.

Wow, the heads are starting to roll. I think Shanahan will address a RB in the draft again, though it will *probably* be better than Clarett

That may not be as far off as you think:

Broncos | Dayne to carry the load?

Lee Rasizer, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/168">Rocky Mountain News, reports Denver Broncos RB Ron Dayne has a "good" chance to eventually handle the load in the backfield, according to general manager Ted Sundquist. Dayne's advantages are his size, foot quickness and acceleration off the cut. Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak, who previously served as the Broncos' offensive coordinator, agreed with Sundquist's assessments and added that Dayne's chances will be better if he has another solid offseason conditioning program that is aimed at keeping his weight down and an increase in stamina.

It is a system after all.

Another question if Ricky is not cleared Anderson may be had pretty cheap as a #2 for Ronnie. I think that would be a good 1 2 as well but really a good O line will make anyone great.....

I've heard that KC may cut Will Shields. I'd take him on the Phins.

Well He was a great back at one time. If your gonna be the "phoenix risen from the ashes" thats the blocking scheme to do it behind.

The Broncos did have a system, but the staff has suffered too much loss in my opinion, gibbs was a o line mastermind when he left they tailed off now kubiak, with another hit to o line personnel could be a disaster i.e. Lepsis. I dont think Dayne will make it as a full time back and stay healthy, yes they will share the load but Dayne will still see a drastic increase. No way bad 1 2 punch

This guy is older than the Brooklyn bridge. I'd pass, too expensive for some antiques.

I just heard that the Panthers cut Stephen Davis. I think there is a strong chance that they might go for Mike Anderson. He is in the same mold as Davis and in better condition too. DeShaun Foster's tendency towards injuries makes him iffy, and Anderson would be good(maybe cheap?) insurance.
