this morning. Ross needs someone by his side to protect his checkbook. Saying that the interview on Monday night showed that Ross in convinced that he needs to pay what he has to pay to fix the mess in his locker room and seemed to be siding with JMart without even listening to Richie.

for what it's worth, I think Ross has a lot of class and was shocked to see the texts and see the transcipt of the VM without knowing the context. He looked like a man embarrassed and hurt that this could be going on with his employees. I personally like Ross because I believe he means well and really loves this franchise and wants to win, but just has a lot to learn. And unfortunately he's willing to kiss the NFLs ass to get out of this mess.
i hope eventually he reaches down and grabs his balls and realizes this is what it is....fraud directed at the Fins

and to the posters who make fun of Ross' public speaking? Bunch of posers and chumps. I've done public speaking and it's terrifying, you try it and then talk sh*t, I guarantee you'd be singing a different tune. As far as I'm concerned the man came across sincere and concerned

man tried at one time to buy the jets...a dolphins fan would not try to buy the jets...period...

this is a toy for him...and unfortunately its a really high level transformer that he doesnt know how to transform...

You must be a ***** too then...(jkg)

I've always liked Ross but it is obvious he has no idea how to run a professional football team.

Maybe the advisory team he put together can help him, we'll see.

I didn't know he tried to buy the jets, I'm gonna call BS on that until you provide some sort of proof. And if you can doesn't mean he's a jet fan either. I know he's a big Michigan fan. He may be just an NFL fan in general and in buying a team is now a fan of the team. I grew up in NY and I know a lot of NFL fans who could care less about the jets or the giants

Once a minority partner with the New York Islanders, Ross was part of a group in 1990 that tried to bring baseball to Miami before Huizenga became founding owner of the Florida Marlins. He also made an unsuccessful bid for the New York Jets in 1999.

Thanks for the article. But doesn't prove he was a "jet fan"
As a matter of fact most people here try to kill the guy for not having ties to south Florida when in fact he went to High school in Miami and also owns a home here.

If he tried to buy the jests he should have been disqualified from buying the Dolphins.

That's just common sense. :chuckle:

Ross maybe a nice man, doubt it very few billionaires are, he didn't buy this team because he was a fan, he bought this team for one purpose, to make money on the sale....when was the last time you heard a owner ask for help from the NFL because of a issue on the team? He''s in over his head, he never talked to the two people involved, never addressed the team, not sure if he spoke with coaching staff, seems to me he is brilliant when it comes to real estate not so much with football.....this ok and it can work if he can find the right people in the front office to run things....were about to find out if he can.....

He went to school in Miami before the dolphins existed...

once again, a Dolphins fan would not attempt to buy the jets unless his plan was to sign Tim Tebow to a 25 year contract that he would start for every game...

Im not saying he is a jets fan either but The dolphins are a toy for him...

And I never said he was a Dolphins either, so that's a wash and it doesn't matter. The man wanted to buy a pro sports team, nothing wrong with that, he just doesn't know how to operate it, doesn't mean he doesn't want to win. I see some comments here that's he's just in it for the money,,, that is ignorant.

I agree with the bold part for sure, but why would you go out and support JP without waiting for the investigation to complete?. I'm just not sure that was a wise idea (not saying JP should be fired or not) and I think Ross really needs good football people around him and someone strong here in Florida because he sorely needs help running the team he owns.

He is a business man. Business men make money. He may want to win but, winning brings more money. Ross is in it for one reason, money. Doubt he was a jets fan but, I don't like the fact he tried to buy the jets also. If trying to buy 2 teams in the same division doesn't tell you its about, nothing will.

alot of his problems could be solved if he got the ok from the league to move out of Miami.

It gets no respect and is crappy market, which go hand in hand.

Move out of that town Ross! Nothing will ever fix this teams reputation until they are out of that town.
