Mike Gesicki throwing a pass to himself over his house thread

Well hopefully Old Chan River is going to use him to his strengths though I have read repeatedly he doesn't use TE's much in his offense. Hope that changes. MG has a lot of promise it seems but will be seeing his third OC in three years which could stint him. Hoping Old Chan River is going to work to his rosters strengths.
curious if he splits him out wide or has him break from the line

Pleasantly surprised with him last year. He will always be remembered as the one who caught the ball that put a stake through the heart of the Belichick/Brady AFC East reign.

My favorite quote from last season was after we beat the Jets, Cameron Wolfe said "When Adam Gase was coaching Gesinki he didn't know how to use him and when he was coaching against him he couldn't figure out how to stop him."

No longer runs like a drunken baby giraffe. Tough cover on vertical/seam routes. Just wished he would develop on crossing routes. Doesn't use his speed to get separation on them. Needs to get a feel for soft spots in zones underneath. Could improve on YAC.

Gase the offensive mastermind that can’t use players to their strengths

Gase who basically coached Payton Manning at the end of his career, during some of his worst statistical seasons is suddenly a “QB Whisperer”. What a crock! He’s one of the weakest offensive coaches I have observed over about 45 years.

TE's typically don't have great rookie seasons (Ditka is the exception). Not surprised at all it's taking him 2 seasons to develop into a good weapon.

Russ, feel for the pro game takes some time. Gisecki had a super comeback year last year and I think we're going to see a lot more. I'd love to pair him with another great TE ala Gonk and Hernandez. I have a feeling that Tua is going to be a great friend to Gisecki. But, all those soft spots in the zones and other veteran tricks come with a bit more time. I love the player going forward.

I was very high on Gesicki coming out of college but he soured on me after seeing him get bull rushed several times by cornerbacks while not catching a goddamn thing.

He really came into his own last year. If he improves even more this year he could be a star for us.

...super underrated quality by many re the PRO game is

hard working! Now of course you MUST HAVE the

physical chops to compete -- but dudes that are

relentless hard-workers tend to fulfill the "professional

designation." This kid is a dedicated hard-core old-fashioned

hard worker! And, rumor has it, he's like really smart too!

Add that to his physical resume and...don't be surprised if

he continues to ramp up his game!

I agree, but have to ask, what's with the 2 line broken sentence post?

I've seen it before, and NBD, just wondering.

I've always liked Gisicki and the special athletic traits he brings to the table, not really a TE more of a specialist in the slot or split out, that said you need a QB/OC who knows how to use him.

Ask me there seemed to be a power-play going on in FO where Gase was trying to show Grier was inept at drafting players wanting to bring in his own GM, why else would you show a side of a high draft pick that everyone knew would be very ugly, just like what Gase has just done in NY, Jets new GM Joe Douglas has done a nice job with FA and the 2020 draft but nothing like cutting or trying to cut the throat of the last 2 guy's that hired you, good look for you Gase - just like the bug eye video of you at the press conference....
