If Saban goes...
Its obvious the only thing holding the fins back is their lack of offense and it all starts with the philosophy of an offensive coordinator. The fins have had consecutive defensive minded coaches and look where that has got us. Why not try and get Martz who definitely wont have the weapons he had in St. Louis, but will have a group of offensive players potentially better than Detroit's team hes coaching for now (Mike Furrey leads the team in receptions and hes a converted Safety). The guy is an offensive genius, he knows how to get the ball in the endzone. We could really use a guy like him...FOR A CHANGE!!!
 
yea, wouldn't mind getting him as an OC.
 
I thought the Fins were thinking about hiring him last off-season as an offensive coordinator but went with Mularkey instead.
 
I would not mind him as H.C. as long as D.Capers keeps runnig the D.
 
I wouldn't want to give him the responsibilty of running the team, but as an OC I can't think of anybody I would rather have.

I think he is still widely regarded as the best OC in the league, look at the comments Belichick made about him. He is a genius and with a healthy Culpepper and the Defense that he never had in St Louis he could make us very special.

thats a misconception- the guy doesnt pass as much as every1 thinks... you gotta think the lions were down a lot and needed to pass more and even with all that there were a bunch of QBs who attempted more passes this season than Kitna
 
St Louis won a SB with him.. but how many other team's win championship's by passing the ball... take a look each week.. 100 yard rushers are usually on the winning team and 300 yard passer's are usually on the losing team... and that could be because the QB is passing more because his team is behind... and the RB is getting more attempts because his team's ahead but i firmly believe to win a championship you have to have a great defense and a great running attack... Martz can't help us in either... beside's Saban isn't going anywhere.
