hey Mike Mularkey is still available...he was a star in PITT as their OC...not fit for coach but good, innovative OC. Martz is a head case with a HUGE EGO will not be an OC again. Mularkey is from FL too, another reason to come home.

This sucks...here we go again...another offensive scheme for the offense...why not stay and build what you started...is it always about the money? Yes, I guess.:yell:  :shakeno:

Na, I would pass on Mularkey. We need to get someone really qualified that will most likely be here for many years. I think that man is Baggett, and I hope Saban secures him fast before Linehan tries to take him away.

Well we always hire high profile guys who have good chances to become HCs; Chan Gailey, Norv Turner, & Scott Linehan. Hiring Mularkey would probably only be for a year or two before he gets another shot as a HC. Same goes for Martz & Mariucci.

But lets be honest, who really thought Linehan would get a head coaching job after one year in Miami? I didn't see this coming at all, espically this soon.

HEY I'd be OK with Bagett, he's a safe choice...keeps the team using a similar offensive scheme.

We may be willing to pay Baggett a lot more than St. Louis.

It's not always about the money. Well, just the money.

When a guy takes a job as an assistant or a coordinator, it's usually just as a stepping stool to get to a head coaching position. It's not like he's leaving to be an OC for another team for a nominal raise. He's being promoted to something he's probably aspired to for his entire career.

I agree. I figured he'd be here two to three years tops. I think we'll be fine without him, but I absolutely didn't see this coming.

I liked mularkey as OC with the steelers.

He wasn't bad as OC with the steelers, very creative playbook, would be interesting to see in Miami.

Stepping stool?

He was a very good OC for the Steelers thats what landed him the HC job in Buffalo, lets hope Linehan has the same success in St. Louis (like Mularky sour grapes), it is just getting frustrating losing coordinators year after year our team needs stability.

Mularky was OC for Pittsburgh?

Hmm, I wonder...Ricky and Ronnie in his backfield.

Sounds like this is something that COULD work...maybe...

We should go after Heimerdinger, secondly Mularkey, and out of desperation Martz (although his health is of some concern) But Heimerdinger could utilize McMike to his full potential and keep the vertical passing game intact. And he did a good job running Eddie George and then Chris Brown played great in his final year as Tennessee's OC so I think Heimerdinger is our man. Bagget is going with Linehan so forget about him. I think Gus just got on the bus staight out of Miami. Sage should stay and maybe Frerotte at the Minimum with incentives, same for Sage though I think Sage will garner some attention in FA with the way he played in all the games except for the Cleveland game. HIRE HEIMERDINGER ASAP!!
