Mike Munchak Fired by Titans

Seems strange to fire a coach for winning 7 games with Jake Locker and Ryan Fitzpatrick as his quarterbacks? In fact, that team was red hot before Locker got hurt and was replaced by the much less effective Fitzpatrick.

Ya it's weird. I had been hearing that the front office wanted them to change OC and Munchak wasn't going to. Then I heard Mort talking about Dowell Loggains and how he is one of the brighter OC's around, just that the Titans brass were not interested in keeping his pass happy offense around. Seems maybe Munchak gave 'em an ultimatum and Titans decided to just move on.

Titans management is just colossally stupid. I thought Locker would be a dog**** QB but they were actually turning him into a very effective passer before he got hurt. This makes even less sense to me now unless they have someone else in mind already.

Ya I wasn't sold on Locker either. It'll be interesting like you said, to see if they had someone lined up for the job.

From everything I read, they're going to cut CJ?K so that leaves them w/ Shonn Greene and Jackie Battle. They'll be players in FA and or the draft for a rb since they are trying to move towards more of a run based system.

Hmm, very similar to our situation here.
