I have been a UF fan for the 41yrs that I have been a Dolphin fan and I was excited when we got Pouncey. But Mike has proven that he is pretty dreadful when it comes to moving the pile. I would rather have a guy that can change the LOS rather than a player that excels at pass pro. Steen has shown that he is pretty good at clearng the path for the back and is competent at pass protection. I like Urbik's versatility and I think he should probably be manning one of the OG spots when Steen is at OC. I think Pouncey's contract(like a lot of players on this team) is inflated. I know that he has been a Pro-Bowler, but I do not agree with that assessment.

Dolphins center Mike Pouncey doesn’t know who got him. But he knows where the guy works.

Via Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Pouncey minced no words about the hip injury which cost him the first four weeks of the regular season.
Some pile-jumper from the Dallas Cowboys jumped on me,” Pouncey said. “He fell on top of me.”
And while returning to practice Tuesday for the first time since the fracture in his hip in that Aug. 19 preseason game, Pouncey admitted there were moments after the injury in which he wondered about his future.

Yeah, I was wondering the extent of his injury after reading this from the update thread . . . "Mike Pouncey said he wasn't sure if he'd be able to play again after his latest injury." Don't know if that's a quote or not, but that DOESN'T say "next week" or "this year." It's "if he'd be able to play again."

Some of you guys are terrible and it's difficult to come back from a hip injuries. Think about it Bo Jackson and Percy Harvin all had hip injuries and careers ended much sooner than later.

Is it me, or has Steen played the best at center so far? It seemed to me that at least, at times, our OL did okay with some things when he was in there. Of course, this could be wishful thinking on my part because I am a little so, so on Pouncey. :-D

That was one of the chippiest pre-season games I've ever seen.

Then he needs to go. Just what we need, a center who is playing scared or at least cautionary. Release him, start Steen and save money.

yet another hole that needs some filling.

The difference on this hole if we might already have his replacement on the team and way cheaper. The problem is the cap hit we're going to take but I think we're better off. He's just part of everything that's wrong with our "organization"

Ozzy rules!!

There were a few blown protection calls vs Seattle, but that was his first game at center. He's been solid since.
