Hey guys,

I have a buddy over here that just stated that Denvers coach is on the outs. can anyone verify this. I havent seen anything. If this is true then the whole coaching search might get easier...

I wanted him before we got Saban. But after he took Clarett in the 3rd round. I'm no longer interested. With them missing the playoffs, it wouldn't surprise me if he's out of there.

From what little I know, it didnt sound like he did such a bang-up job this year in Denver. Wouldnt be one of my top choices.

There is no way he gets fired he is one of best coaches in the league.

No chance he gets fired. He's one of the best HC's in the NFL.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Thats what I said. My SGT over here is a big time Denver fan and he just stated that they were going to fire Shannahan. I am going to dig a little more. I just cant see this happening but then again weirder things have happened. Nobody would have thought Saban would back stab us last year and look at what happened. JJ and Jerry Jones was a shock also.

If I hear anything I will post...

There is NO WAY that Shannahan is on the outs in Denver.

He did a good job and is best friends with the owner over there. He got the best QB in last year's draft and has already started to work him into the NFL.

Next year they will do much better.

Some of these posts are really crazy. Only one team wins the superbowl every year, that doesn't mean that all the other coaches did lousy.

shanahan is a top 5 coach, no way they fire him

I really like a lot of the names that people are mentioning, and I think Shanahan would make a great HC, but one thing a lot of people fail to realize is that our decision based on our new coach will also be influenced by our personnel. With that being said, we don't have the type of OL that would thrive on a Shanahan coached team. He prefers smaller OL for his zone blocking scheme, and we simply can't gut our OL to find the players that he needs to be successful. Also I think this same reason will also keep us from hiring Ron Rivera because he would install a Tampa 2 defense that we don't have the personnel for again.

I can't see him being let go in Denver. But I do remember there was talk of him maybe coming to Miami before Saban was hired two years ago.

There was a lot of talk about it then. I don't see why it isn't another possibility now that he could be out of Denver.

The thing I love about Shannahan is I could rush for a 1000 yards for that guy. His offensive schemes make nobodies into legends. However I am not sure just how great of a head coach he really is. I'd give my soul to have him as an offensive co-ordinater, but I am not sure about head coach. With his long history at the HC position, I doubt he'd come here as a OC.

There is no way. Bowlen said its Shanny's job till he wants it. Yes they missed the playoffs, but they went to the championship game last year. They had a remarkable draft last year by getting Cutler, Scheffler(A gonzo type player), B. Marshall, Dummerville (8.5 sacks), Mike Bell (undrafted free agent). They are getting younger and will be better next year. If any news would every surface like that Adam Schefter of NFL network would know about it b/c he is very close to Mike and was a Denver news reporter for several years.

I am in Denver. Never heard this rumor. Him and the owner are buddies. He wont get fired. There was talk of him of him going to the Fla Gators a few years ago, not Miami.
