Mike Sherman saves Dolphins 2013 season with read option.

theres a lot of things sherman is leaving on the table...wallace gets bracketed with a safety a ton and we make it easy for em...if they lined up wallace further to the inside off the los he'd be able to invade the safety cushion and have 2 way goes in the process...i'll never understand why its week 15 and we have shown no motion to the inside or motion period with wallace to get easy coverage reads and have safeties bailing out scared to death of his blow by ability...deep post routes across a safeties face vertical stop routes and come backs against bail all would be on the table...

you start running a step back pass off the read op and bang teams a few times those lbs stop crashing forward so much and having to account for routes behind em you help your inside run game off those looks make more hay...right now they just gap fill as soon as we show it

To read stuff like this just hurts your-soul. I too was wondering not with the proficiency and ability to explain the X's and O's like you. But, Why in the world is Mike Wallace ALWAYS lined-up like he is? Why in the world is every deep throw to Wallace a straight vertical? We don't have any Deep Post-Plays? Crossing Plays, Etc that can give him more options with the balls in his hands? Perhaps it was because of the O-Line not being able to hold up long enough to allow something like that to develop.

I really don't get it.

Also, something I wish they would exploit more(I think it was used only once this season) is putting M.Wallace on the inside to take the coverage with the safety leaving Marlon Moore with his speed one on one outside with a CB. I'll take that matchup, IMO easy TD or big gain.

miami has lined marlon moore on the outside and sent him deep.. the oline wasnt able to protect him long enough to execute the play.. i just hope the patriots try to cover wallace one on one.

I don't know now much you can credit Sherman when we're still doing that "Go Go = run play" crap.

Also, did Matthews even catch a ball last week? There's a lot Sherman still does to make opposing DC jobs' very easy.

Part B is what I like, because it means that defenders will be slightly indecisive and follow the QB and whoops there goes the RB.....

Also when I also said I want to see what Sherman can do,I mean I'd like to see Sherman dig deeper in his playbook for Wallace.....are you telling me in the west Coast offense Sherman has nothing in that playbook to get Mike the Darn ball.....come on!!!!

ESPN now calling Ryan a "Dual Threat"

Ryan Tannehill becoming a dual threat?

By James Walker | ESPN.com

DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins (7-6) have won three of their past four games to get into the playoff hunt. A key reason has been the recent play of starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Ryan Tannehill
#17 QB
Miami Dolphins
2013 STATS
Att 484
Comp 300
Yds 3315
TD 20
Int 14
Rat 84.0

Tannehill has become a dual threat of late. He made plays with both his arm and legs during back-to-back road wins against the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers. He has rushed for 78 yards on six carries the past two weeks.

Tannehill’s 13.0 yards per carry the past two games is adding an extra element to Miami’s offense.

“It has just kind of worked out that way,” Tannehill said of his increased rushing yards. “It’s not something that we went in and said, ‘Hey, we want you to run X amount of times per game.’ It’s just a feel for, OK, no one is open downfield, you feel a running lane, and you are able to get out and get some yards.”
