"Deep Threat"
I'm tired of reading posts on this board hoping and praying Mike Wallace is let go, traded etc. HE IS A DOLPHIN and is HERE TO STAY. Get used to it. The past is the past, and up till the last game he had an AMAZING SEASON. Do you haters forget his #'s from last year in 15 games? Do you forget all his TD's that we haven't got from a WR in how long??? Clayton/Duper??
How nice a lot of you want to throw him under the bus and rid of him. Big deal, he had a hissy fit in a meaningless final game. He probably had good reason. Coach Philbin is an asshole. We know he is a weird dude and ****ed with Wallace. Bottom line, Mike's teammates love him, this org. likes him, coach will have to mend the fences with him, and I think that will be done soon.
What we are seeing is the Dolphins better themselves and that's all Mike Wallace wanted. He wants to play for a winner because he is a winner on the field. He wants to maximize his skills and wants to EARN his money. He knows he has to do more, and came and did it last season, but wants to use his #1 skill to the max, and that's the deep pass. It is frustrating, can you blame him? I'm sure he and RT will get it right this year and make it happen. Just look at what Wallace did WITHOUT the deep ball. Crazy. Sky is limit here.
I know I am his biggest supporter on the board, but what's right is right. I am thinking with the signing of Suh, Cameron, Stills, it is making Wallace happier that this team will produce and he will be a big part of it. It will make it easier for him to restructure his contract to assure he stays here. I think you will see that announcement soon of him restructuring, esp. if it means they get Clay re-signed. Mike will do it. He knows what he is part of.
The Stills signing is support, a 3rd string WR, not a replacement for Mike. We all know that.
So let's get behind this guy. **** Week #17 from last season, that's erased from my memory. It's only up from here. Who is on board?
