I know, I know, there is a already a thread about Mike Wallace being the problem on this forum but this has another caveat.

First (I'll get it out of the way) Wallace said the ball Tannehill threw was perfect. He said he was definitely "held up" otherwise it was perfect. He says later that he was definitely grabbed by the shoulder pads. IMO if he feels this way in the game, then sell it to the ref.

What is funny though, a reporter asked if he thought a flag should have been thrown. Wallace responds by calling out the refs, with something to the point of " Yes, but not for us, we don't get those kind of calls, every else does but we don't"

Another reporter must then ask something like "What do you mean by that or can you elaborate more?"

Wallace then brings up the flag that was thrown on Will Davis when he tipped the ball and it was intercepted and says he definitely didn't think that was the correct call. He then says "As long as you don't play for us it might work out for you".

Interesting to see Fin Fans aren't the only one's who feel that way.

No question he was held up. I think players and fans alike think they don't get calls they should.

Well it should have been a flag, but then again, elite players usually like to point at themselves instead of always looking for outside influences affecting their play... Im not saying he`s wrong, but he has the wrong mindset to ever become better at his craft...

Ball should have been placed at the spot of the foul. The pass couldn't have been any better, it would have been a td without the interference. The refs blew it and I say this because they have been calling these types penalties all of preseason. The Dolphins should take notice of this situation because they can't rely on the refs like some teams. Plays like that have came back and haunted is in the past so we need to keep our foot on the gas pedal when we get our opponents down.

Just rewatched the game and he was definitely held up on that play however the refs were not a factor on the one were the ball hit him in the #11 that he dropped. No use to complain about the officials. It is what it is and will only be worst when we play the anointed Patriots.

Its very surprising given the emphasis on illegal contact and pass interference. That was an easy call and it is compounded by the fact that they flagged Will Davis for perfect timing to the ball. You can't flag that and not the Wallace play its very inconsistent

He was held fersure... otherwise even the TannePavlovians would be hard pressed not to be raving over the perfect pass (whether Wallace's butterfingers would have been able to bring it in or not).

The theme of this pre-season is supposed to be ticky-tack contact penalties. Some were called against us (most penalty-free AFC team the last 2 years) and weren't called against TB. Usually they tend to balance themselves out, but with the refs getting worse and worse every year, I don't have any faith in them...particularly when Cheaters are on the field.

That one on Wallace was blatant and should've been called even w/o the focus on contact penalties...makes it worse IMHO.

It does seem like we get the majority of pi calls...That was also not pi on Davis on the tip...I was pissed

All you can ask for from refs is consistency. But it was lacking. Refs are human but be consistent.

There is a definite bias in the league (not unlike the NBA). Its unfortunate, but it exists. I watched the Pats/Eagles and on one drive alone, the Pats sustained a drive with the support of a PI, holding and hands to the face. All called on DB's.
I dont see the Phins having any chance against the Pats opening day unless they get a big lead due to Pats miscues/turnovers. The Pats are tough to beat regardless, but they also catch a lot of breaks from the officials. The Phins will get no such breaks.

He was not only held on the shoulder pad, but the dude grabbed his pants, too. Watch the close-up slow-mo video posted in that other thread. The dude nearly pulls Wallace's pants down.

Mike Wallace is 100% right to complain. That was blatant pass interference.

I'm preparing to be royally ****ed by the refs in the opener. You know there will be at least one or two calls- likely at key times in the game- that'll go against us and we'll all be breaking ****.
