Mike Wallace says refs don't give our WRs any calls

I think some proved that he is right when we are in the bottom of the league of get PI calls. BUT he needs to worry about catching the ball before getting calls.

it is an excuse, but it is also kinda true. We never get PI calls.

In reference to being in the lower tier of getting PI calls: we don't exactly have physical receivers that play the ball in the air very well. Hoping Landry will change that. As for Wallace, I've seen more aggression in toddlers over a pacifier.

he is right.

and what the wallace whiners dont understand is, this isnt just a mike wallace issue. this is something that effects the TEAM not just wallace.

it so funny because if a fan fav like mathews would have said this, we would all be seeing, yeah, he's right! this is bs, glad he is calling them out.

but because its mike wallace [who is stuck with a qb who couldnt find him with a spot light in green house] he just needs to shut up and wait for tanny to learn how to throw beyond 10 yds to slot receivers and not worry about the TEAM getting hosed.

so many, many times a playoff spot is a PI call's difference of going on or going home. the pats have won more important games than you can count because they get the calls. the steelers get the calls. i dont think a peyton manning wr has ever had to worry about not getting the call.

it matters. and not just for mike wallace.

You get calls and the benefit of the doubt by first making plays and making yourself seen.

It's based on reputation. Remember all the calls Marino had go his way when he was throwing to a receiver, any receiver?

If you have a dominant offense, and a strong QB, and you consistently connect, then refs will give you those pass interference calls because they're giving you the benefit of a doubt.

This is why a "W" is not the only thing that matters. It does matter how you win. Is Brent Grimes making a great play at a critical time to save the offense? Is a special teams player giving us 7 points? All great things...but you also need your offense to show it's stuff, and march down the field against stiff opposition. The refs need to see execution, and plays which are smooth and automatic...not an exception to the rule.

I hope he doesn't piss any refs off, and they purposely look the other way now, when he gets mugged out there..

Well, how do you explain, in a time where there is major added emphasis on contact downfield, that he didn't get that call in the Bucs game...the ref was looking RIGHT AT the play from the sideline horizontal with them. They've thrown a ton of flags this pre-season for lesser contact.

They're even calling contact that happens 45 yards away from where the play happens, but they didn't call that obvious one that was right in their face. It's not an excuse...it's true...regardless of what receiver it happened to.

We do, thankfully, have other receivers that can take that level of contact that happened to Wallace and still make the play. They're going to have to, 'cuz we won't get the calls.

If Wallace doesn't fight for the ball and draw contact, he is not going to get many calls.

This is what people are taking about:

If he elevates for the ball, there is contact from Grimes and possibly a call.
