He has caught on us a long back-breaking TD pass in every game that we have played the Steelers with him

I listed him a couple of years ago as one of the tall, very fast(in the top seven at the combine) WRs in the draft that we could of had over Pat White AND Pat Williams.

I was told that with Ted Ginn Jr we already "had" our "fast WR" (I personally do not think you ever have too many fast WRs.

What this team does not have is real speed at WR (I play the Dolphins in three online Madden franchises and I hate not having anyone who can beat a defender deep) All three of our WRs(four counting Fasano) are showing that they can get open and catch the ball but it never hurts to have someone that scares the defense.

What they also do not have is the coaching will to throw the ball long This offense under Chad Henne throws deep about as often as Chad Pennington did (Chad Pennington and Brandon Marshall together? Pennington would throw to Marshall 15 times a game, completing 12 of them).

So far Chad Henne is throwing for a lower yard per pass attempt then Chad Pennington did in 2008. 7.7 compared to 7.0. And so far Henne is on a rate to barely match Pennington's 38 completions over 20 yards and 8 completions over 40 yards in 2008.

The truth about Marshall is his YAC has never been big and is close to what it is every year. I think that most of us expected more TDs or even attempted TDs.

I'd rather have a guy who can tackle on kick-off's. That would save us 100 yards per game. Our receiving core is pretty darn good if you ask me.

Hartline is a terrible #2 WR, plain and simple. The man does not stretch the field or make any big plays.

Hartline may not be setting the world on fire, but neither do a lot of #2's. Our WR's right now are better than they've been in 10, maybe 20 years. Marshall is probably the most talented we have ever had, and Bess is as good of a slot as you will find these days. My point is that the WR core is not where you need to look right now when lamenting a loss like yesterdays. Not even close!

Right, so when guys aren't making plays, it's okay because other #2's aren't doing much? What a crap argument. Other teams' #2's ARE making plays and aren't causing turnovers. Hartline is responsible for 2 in the last 3 weeks.

Stop accepting mediocrity and start demanding success.

When I first saw this thread, I thought you meant the guy in Seattle.

I was so pissed when the Lions drafted him before us. Now after successful years in Detroit he's flourishing in Seattle. Damn! Do some research.

tom brady shows us every year that we should had drafted him and drew bress shows us we shoulda got him, see where im going with this.

Roberto Wallace is pretty fast. I would like to see us get him more involved in the passing game.
