1) D-line must get to Farve. It's gonna be 100+ degrees out there and Farve is an old man. Knock him down a bunch and by the 4th quarter he isn't gonna want to keep getting back up. Get to the QB!

2) Jake Long. Pretty much says it all. Mangini is a defensive genius and he has some toys now in Pace and Gholston. They are gonna throw the kitchen sink at Long. And you can't play the ENTIRE game putting a TE next to Long. Jake better be ready cause he will see it all today. No more of the preseason "whifs" he had vs Jax and KC on players.

3) WR's able to get open. If our WR's can't get open we will see 9 man fronts all day long Ricky, Ronnie, Csonka,or Jim Brown in his prime wouldn't be able to run the ball today. And we won't score more than 10pts.

Should be a fun year. Got nothing to lose so play balls out!!! Let's hope for the best!

Thanks Mike. My key would be getting a lead early. I think falling behind early is a bad recepie for this team. The D Line is exactly right.....Blitzing is going to fin us getting ripped a new one.

Good points. I think our D-line will do a great job deep rotation and them being accustomed to the SFLA heat and humidity makes them more affective. I think Long will be fine EVERYONE holds back in the preseason even linemen he will dominate and live on the second level. and i think our running game and having the best playaction guy i have ever seen will allow them to get open you cant hesite or miss anything with Ginn or he will be gone
 
I think 2) is a huge one. They are going to attack Long from start to finish because of his inexperience against NFL speed. He's going to have to play well for the Dolphins to have ANY chance of winning this game.

spot on!! The bullets are flying for real this week and from now on. Long is on the hot seat!

Long was OK in the preseason, he played well at times. And he played bad at times missing blocks. I won't get back into the...."Move Long to RT for 1 year" because I started a holy war on these boards with that post a few weeks back and lets not get into that debate this week. BUT, Long needs to play well at LT for us to have any offense at all. Forget WR's, RB's, and the QB position.........if Jake Long needs help from a TE all game, were screwed on offense today and all year.
 
IMO, I would argue that our keys to the game would be our pass defense and our rushing game. If our secondary can't hold Favre in check it might get ugly. If we can't sustain drives then we give the Jets and Favre more time to pick holes in our secondary.

you missed one othe key to the game....

4.We MUST get some knd of points on as many drives as possible.

We can't keep getting 3 and outs.We HAVE to score at least a field goal on a drive,cause if we get behnd by more than two touchdowns by halftime,this game is a gonner.We have to score in this one,or we WILL lose...bad...
 
3 keys to the game.

1) Miami must take Brett out of the game.
2) Miami must take Rhodes out of the game.
3) Miami must take Coles out of the game (Or Crotchery)
