Miller named FedEx Ground Player of the Week

I admit I was down on Miller after last year/going into this year. When Moreno went down I figured our running game was done. But the kid stepped up, quite admirably I must say :brewskis:

I think Moreno was worth at least one more win if healthy. It was nice combo idea.
 
Running back Lamar Miller was named the winner of the FedEx Ground Player of the Week honor after rushing for 178 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown, against the New York Jets in the regular season finale Sunday.

Miller’s competition for the award was San Francisco’s Frank Gore, who rushed for 144 yards against Arizona, and Dallas’ DeMarco Murray, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown against Washington.

FedEx made a $2,000 donation in Miller's name to the American Red Cross.






Something positive from an otherwise forgettable final game.

Outside of our QB Miller was probably the most improved on the offense last year to me. Still not the best hands but he ran with a purpose and really improved his pass protection blocking.
