One specific play that occurred during the Miami Dolphins' rookie minicamp should tell you everything you need to know about what Pat White can bring to this offense.
White calls out a shift during 11-on-11 drills, moving the tight end from his left side to his right. Cornerback Sean Smith takes a step or two forward before the ball is snapped.
When the play becomes live Anthony Armstrong, a speedy receiver who spent all of last year on the Dolphins' practice squad, runs a takeoff on the left side of the field.
Armstrong used his Arena League speed to get behind Smith, who admits he peeked into the backfield. White throws a beautiful 50-yards bomb that has great touch on it. Armstrong catches the ball in stride and strolls into the end zone for what would have been an ESPN worthy touchdown.

Dolphins second round pick Pat White, the former West Virginia quarterback, has a minor pinky injury and so he is not taking many snaps during the rookie minicamp today.
White's injury is not preventing him from working. He is throwing the ball around. He simply is not taking the ball from the center in an exchange to protect the hand.
White struggled during the 90 minute practice today. He threw two interceptions. "It wasn't a good day," said White, who wears gloves on both hands. "I just have to come back out tomorrow and get better."
He did complete a deep sideline pass to Anthony Armstrong. "It was a good ball," coach Tony Sparano said. "I've seen that throw on film."

Davis lived up his reputation as a tough, physical cornerback by recording a few knockdowns Friday, including a body slam along of the sideline of practice squad WR Todd Lowber.
“I got in trouble for that,” Davis said. “Coach Sparano doesn’t want anybody on the ground.”
