Minkah Or Derwin?

Most mock drafts had Derwin going to TB at 7. Did he slide for some reason? Off the field issues? Will be interesting to see who turns out to have the better career.

I wanted Derwin before the draft, but after watching Minkah, I instantly became a fan. Good pick Miami.

I really like Minkah. Its not just his skillset but it is his hard work that he puts into his craft to be ELITE. He does all the little things which many players just don't think is important. He already has a veteran's mindset and takes care of his body. He eats, sleeps and breathes football.

I don't know if Derwin is at that level yet.

I had Derwin higher after the Combine, Derwins more physical vs the run and in pass coverage and I trust him more in isolation situations but Minkah overall instincts and Football IQ I like a lot better.

I like Minkah’s versatility. He can play on the outside, the slot, safety, and even at LB on passing downs, and not miss a beat at any of those spots. James is a helluva player, but he can’t do all of that.

I knew Derwin was gonna be good but didn't know much about Minkah (good players at Alabama tend to just blend in). I think Minkah was more the mold of what we were looking for. TB should have taken Derwin, though a lot of people are high on Vea.

Reminds me a lot of the '81 draft when Kenny Easley went #4 and Ronnie Lott went #8. Both Safeties are in the Hall.

I like Derwin, but when I realized that Derwin only had a couple picks in his college career compared to Minkah setting the record for most defensive TD’s for bama, I jumped fully on board the Fitz hype train. I think he’s gonna be one of our best players in many years.
