Misleading December Records

I keep hearing how the Fins always choke in December, they can't play in the cold, and have trouble in their division. It was as recent as the 2000-01 season where Miami went 2-2 in December. However, look who they beat and who they lost to:

@ Buffalo W, 33-6
Tampa Bay L, 13-16
Indy L, 13,20
@ New England W, 27-24

So we have won on the road in December before. In fact our 2 losses were at home.

The problem there is that the two victories were against bad teams and the two losses were against good teams. Personally, I think it's more that the Dolphins can't beat a good team in December, not that they can't win on the road in December. Aside from the Raiders last year, when was the last time Miami won against a good team in December? 1998 over the Broncos? I can think of plenty of good teams they've lost to: NE 2003, NE 2002, SF, NE 2001, TB, Indy 2000, Indy, Was 1999, Atl, NYJ 1998.....

Going 2-2 in the runup to the playoffs is nothing to get excited about, if you claim to have any legitimate shot at the SB.
