Another big problem with this team (see "How to Beat the Miami Dolphins" for the rest). Gus is the offensive captain, but when he doesn't make big plays it's pretty tough to look to him as the leader.

McMichael gets shut down too easily because we have no deep passing game (he gets double-teamed), so it's tough to look to him as one either.

And the offensive line just has no one, and I mean NO one, who sets a standard of toughness and ability. That's a huge problem. We need a behemoth out there who creates a tough identity on offense. Right now the line just gets pushed around, and consequently the whole offense does too.

We need a qb that will direct this unit, and take pressure off everybody. Thats what were missing. Also a center, he's the "qb" of the line. We need a monster there that will stand up above the rest.

Yea....Gus is the captain.....who was missing....when they direct snapped the ball with no QB to Ricky....what was that....that just screams....RUNNING play....stupid.

Captain does not equal leader. Who is talking to linemen who false start, who's talking to recievers who drop balls, and who talking to a quaterback when he misses throws to recievers. This team is lacking offensive leadership on the field. How many times did we see Marino yell at a reciever for dropping a pass or a lineman for missing a block? These guys seem almost to be just practicing on the field. Play doesn't go well, its just back to the huddle and run the next play that is called. No up, no down. Football is a game of emotion!
