I miss watching defensive battles.
I miss watching a real running game.
I miss watching formations with TE and FB on the field at the same time.
I miss watching complex offensive plays, not the over simplified garbage of today.
I miss watching intelligent OL play
I miss watching defensive players who could not be fooled by the same play repeatedly
I miss watching 3-4 (with actually 4 linebackers on the field)
I miss watching pure pocket passers

Missing real football, not the garbage of today.....I haven't watched a game this year and I don't know if I see a reason to change.

It seems I am a former fan.....

Welcome to the new NFL.
Limited Practice and pampered athletes.
Sub par product and CTE closing in.
We have maybe 10 more seasons of this before it really starts to fall off.
Maybe by then we will have one serviceable interior linemen. Maybe....

Because of severe brain injuries and law suits from former players, the game has definitely been watered down with the idea of making it safer. . I find penalties are way out of hand, like refs have itchy lips to blow that whistle at the slightest thing.......just the nature of the new NFL. This will never change, better get accustom to it.

I don't think offenses are less simplistic now a days. To me they are more complex. Way more motion and different route combos.

So many rules changes. XPs pushed back, OT rules. Kickoff returns are basically extinct, so many fair catches or touch backs. I just miss when football used to be Monday night and Sunday with Thursday for special occasions. The international games need to stop. And Thursday night football blows. Even Monday night football has lost its luster.

I really hope they don’t:

Go to an 18 game schedule
Put a team in London
Add another playoff team

I miss being a dumb NFL fan. My yearning for a better Dolphins team has made me far too knowledgeable about it.

Adam-Gase-Miami-Dolphins.jpg joe-phillbin.jpg Is it the team that does this to our coaches? They begin to stare off after a while.

They are TOO complex at the cost of shitty fundamentals.

They spend too much time overthinking **** and not enough time teaching guys how to block, wrap up tackles, or even catch with their damn hands.

Sloppy football is what is starting to drive me away.

Basically quit watching the NFL about 4 years ago and still know who can play and who can't. Long before the politics would've run me off anyway.

Give it a shot. I doubt you'll miss anything.

Lol 10 years left. NFL is going no where in 10 years. It's a billionaire business and fans will never stop watching. Im sure the poster of this thread saw every game

10 years until they "really start to fall off".

Meaning the quality of the product is going to get even worse then it currently is.

And I disagree, knowledgeable fans will eventually stop watching because they will see the deterioration of the game they once loved.

Any other questions I can help you answer ?

they are lot good football. it just that dolphins never seem to win or go to superbowl.....the only team I care about is dolphins. sure tired of seeing new England win superbowl almost ever yr..

Pro Football is as cool as it ever was imo. I wish they didn't change any of the rules but the athletes of today are bigger, stronger and faster than ever so we are seeing some amazing players. It's the players who make the game and I believe today's teams would have beat Vince Lombardi's Packers. The players are taller and heavier and simply more talented in most cases. It wouldn't be a fair game.
