I watched yesterdays game at a sports bar and was appalled by the lack of focus and the amount of mistakes that were made YET AGAIN. I figured they would have tried to correct some of the unacceptable penalties and have a "cleaner" game which as we all know didn't happen. I know the team is young for the most part, but are these mistakes attributed to coaching, players or both? I know when they had 12 men on the field for the field goal you could see one of the assistant coaches standing next to Sparano saying "I didn't know".....wait a minute, you didn't know! What the frig is going on here!?

This is going to be a very long year......

Blown coverage I can rationalize as a work in progress, BUT 12 men on the field IMO is beyond ANY excuses. It floored me. Also looking at Henning's call more closely, his approach doesn't seem to have varied much from what got him fired in Buffalo and then eventually in Carolina. It seems the game passed him by long before he got here..and I find that depressing.

While penalties were a major issue in yesterday's game, keep in mind that we've now gone two games without turning the ball over.

If you're going to rip the organization for their penalty issues, you should also praise them for protecting the football.

P.S. Unfortunately, Ricky is the lone exception. He has fumbled 3 times. We just happen to have recovered all 3.

Your point's well-taken, but on any given Sunday, it shouldn't necessarily be "Either-Or"

I just sat there numb watching this game saying 'unreal', or 'unbelieveable' the entire time. It was almost comical how we're able to make mediocre teams look sensational. It seemed like anything Zona wanted to so.. they did. And we had no answer. In any phase of the game. Even the one kick off bess let go took a Zona bounce.

The penalites... oh where to start.. not one.. but 2 12 men on the field penalties.. who is going to answer for that? i can understand Langfords facemask penalty.. love his effort.. rookie decision to hold on the the mask.

But there were so many mistakes and miscues. Every phase looked completely our of sync. What happened to our offense that look so capable in the preseason??? we can barely get a pass off. Our Oline has more holes than swiss cheese. Unreal..

Unbelieveable...

I could never have dreamt we could be as bad as last year. The nightmare continues. So, I'll spend the rest of the season and my hard earned Sunday Ticket to watch Dolphin games as film study. See who may, in the future be able to make plays. Right now there isn't too many.. but I hope every week, there is a 'silver lining' somewhere.

Very true about turning the ball over, but at the same rate I want to clear something up. I wasn't ripping the organization, merely stating facts about inconsistency and unecessary penalties that are inexcusable.

Giving teams, especially explosive ones, an extra set of downs because of frequent penalties is just as bad as turnovers. Praise them for protecting the football? I think not. Henning's philosophy is conservative, ball-control and w/ noodle arm Mr. Glass not taking any chances down field why would any of us be surprised that they're protecting the ball?
