That's right, if you read the interview he is one of us. Who knows maybe he reads these forums.

I would love to see the Dolphins draft this kid and develope him as an ILB.

He played LB in HS and DT in college.

It will interesting to see what he weighs in at, at the combine. He is listed at 6'2" and 280.

He looked great at the senior bowl. It would be a tradgedy if this kid can't a position at the next level.

4.75 speed at 280 is good. If he drapped 15 lbs. he may just become a monster LB.

Anybody familiar with this guy?
Any thoughts on him as an ILB?
Where do you think he gets drafted?

he wont last to the 7th rd
He doesn't really fit the kind of player we are looking for on the defense. He is too small to play the nose and we don't really have a need at DE that would warrant taking him before the 6th or 7th rd. I guess you could ask him to stand up, but he is really too slow for that. Besides we already have a player that fits that description in Matt Roth.

King is one of those guys that you don't mind taking in the mid rounds. They might never be a great/good player, maybe just a ST guy, but he's all about hard work and he's a leader.

As both a Hawkeye and Dolphin fan, I would Kill to see Miami take him. He was the unanimous Defensive Line Player of the year in the Big10 (yes, ahead of maybin). Easily the most disruptive DLineman in the league. Too quick for the OLinemen to block. He's THEE leader on that team... was the guy in the middle of the pre-game huddle whipping everybody into gametime frenzy. He's a lunch-pail, hardwork, non-stop motor kind of player Parcell's likes. BUT, of course, at 6-2 275 he's too small for Parcell's 3-4 defense.

Sounds more like a 4-3 DE with Packers, Colts, Cards kind of team. Still, I really would like him in a Dolphins uniform.

Wouldn't mind having another young Special Teams stud next to Erik Walden.

He is drawing comparisons to Tedy Bruschi in that Bruschi was a former d-lineman who moved to LB and had a successful NFL career. People think King could drop weight to about 260 or so and play ILB.

Definitely an LB in a 3-4. He is the right size. He's just a little bit shorter than you would like.

I like this guy, but he would have to drop about 20 lbs., to play at the LB spot. He's not quite big enough to be an NT but he would fit in nicely in Miami.

It would be a shame to not see this guy catch on somewhere. With his work ethic, character, and the fact that he is an over all solid player, hopefully he can become great some where.

Ya, thats it! His 40 numbers right now at 275-280 are exactly the same
as Rey Maualuga's. 4.74 and has run in the 4.6's.

How can anyone say he is too slow?? No, staight line speed wouldn't be a problem for the 3-4 ILB, I think the real question would be how was he at LB when younger as far as coverage went.

If he dropped 20lbs. he could probably come close to running a high 4.5.

There aren't many really special guys left in the late 3rd round. I really hope we grab this guy.

Sign Bell let the rest walk.

Oh, and I like Matt Roth but I don't see Matt holding a candle compared to this guy. Mitch looks like a legitimate play maker, one of those difference makers.

and he's a Dolphins fan,so that's definitely gotta be a plus...
