Practice Squad
-Let me start by saying im really happy we selected Jake Long. I see a all pro caliber LT for many years after watching film and seeing his size. He looks like a very instinctive player and they are usually the ones that succeed (not saying all instinctive players do succeed or if your not instinctive you wont succeed). Although im happy about this selection the player i wanted was Vernon Gholston. He looked like he brang a lot to the table but im not bitter about it, im a huge fan of Jake Long.
- QB situation. THANK THE LORD, we didnt take Matt Ryan. He is not worth the number 1 overall pick, i give him a late second round but not #1 overall, are you kidding me? Im not sold on John Beck but i do not hate John Beck, the jury is out on John Beck from my standpoint. I really wanna see how he developed into his second year, and he will have talent around him to prove himself. Now if we do select a QB, if its in the second round it better be Brohm, or none until after the 6th round. I feel Brohm is the best QB in this weak QB class this year, if Brohm came out last year, he was supposed to go be4 Mr. Quinn( from what i remember).
- Jason Taylor, hmm this is a tough one right here, I think we should keep JT this year, because if we are aiming to get back in the first round like most reports say, im thinking its gonna require a 2nd or 3rd this year or next year or mayb both years it will require mayb a (3rd round in 08 and 09), so im thinking we should save the picks, and keep JT, because there is no way we can trade JT straight up for a 1st round pick, even though us fans know JT still has it, other teams look at age. So say we trade JT and a 3rd rounder to get back in the first round and we take Harvey/Groves. We lose a 3rd rounder now. If we keep JT we can most likely grab groves with pick #32, or if not we can take a DE/OLB breeded player next year with our first round pick and then we can keep our picks and JT can help develop J. Long in practice by playing against him and mentor some of the young LB's/De's.
