Moats of LA Tech

I don't get the Gates/Williams comparisons at all

If you look at the raw height/weight/speed numbers they may look similar. But the frames and the playing styles could not be more diverse.

I absolutely cannot imagine Mike Williams settling into a three-point stance outside a tackle. Maybe as a standup TE occasionally.

Maybe it's because I've been at the Coliseum so often and never seen anything like it. In 2002 and 2003 the oppostion was literally having special midgame sideline meetings to adjust their strategy and personnel vs. Mike Williams. I was watching assistant coaches flail their arms in disgust. Now I'm being told the player who caused that needs to change positions. No thank you.

Well anywhere he lands he is gonna kick some @$$.

Not saying he will or even should change positions - I think he's going t o be a hell of an NFLer. My point was that to call it idiocy was the wrong term.

Thanks, I changed it.

I'm a big Hitch**** fan, as in Bates Motel. Maybe that's what did it.

The change-your-post features on this forum are almost too liberal. But I'm older than most and tend to make silly mistakes, so I love them.

I know and I agree. I tend to get carried away with the blatant terms. On every blog not just this one.

Probably a residue of living in Las Vegas and frequenting sportsbooks. You need strong opinions here or you'll do nothing but stare at the betting boards and never pull the trigger. I had a roomie 10 years ago who did just that. He would study the games for 10 hours every day and come up with conflicting data on every one, so he almost never made a bet.

Welcome to the Hitch**** Fan thread. Great, great film maker. Some of the great films ever put down on celluloid were made by the great Londoner.

I don't think he will be lined up at TE much in the NFL but Boomer is right in that LB's cannot cover WR's because their hip swerve and cutting ability is not up to par with MW. I think he could play a bit of H-Back though like TO did a few times.

Obviously when you have that much size and speed you become very versatile and can line up all over the place... but the whole idea of changing positions and turning a guy as talented as Williams to a position he never played is odd...

How about taking Brayon Edwards with 1st pick then picking up either Fason or Morency with our 3rd pick. I think I could live with that.

How about please no
