Well, since it's 10 days out, I thought I would go ahead and post what I have as of now. Critique away but, please, be gentle . . .

1. Oakland - JeMarcus Russell
2. Tampa Bay - Calvin Johnson
3. Cleveland - Adrian Peterson
4. Detroit - Gaines Adams
5. Arizona - Joe Thomas
6. New England - Laron Landry
7. Minnesota - Brady Quinn
8. Atlanta - Amobi Okoye
9. Pittsburgh - Levi Brown
10. Houston - Leon Hall
11. San Fransisco - Jamaal Anderson
12. Buffalo - Marshawn Lynch
13. St. Louis - Adam Carriker
14. Carolina - Patrick Willis
15. Miami - Joe Staley
16. Green Bay - Robert Meachem
17. Jacksonville - Reggie Nelson
18. Cincinnati - Alan Branch
19. Tennessee - Ted Ginn Jr.
20. New York - Darrelle Revis
21. Denver - Jarvin Moss
22. Dallas - Dwayne Bowe
23. Kansas City - Dwayne Jarrett
24. Chicago - Greg Olsen
25. New York - Chris Houston
26. Philadelphia - Brandon Meriweather
27. New Orleans - Aaron Ross
28. Washington - Michael Griffin
29. Baltimore - Anthony Spencer
30. San Diego - Steve Smith
31. Washington - Lawrence Timmons
32. Indianapolis - Jon Beason

With Quinn gone, we let the Steelers jump ahead of Houston and pick up an extra 3rd round pick. Washington moves down twice as the Pats grab Landry and the Bears jump all over a falling Olsen. Still working on the next two rounds. Let me know what you think.

it would cost Pittsburgh more than a 3rd to trade up into the top ten.

According to the draft value chart:

#9 = 1,350
#15 = 1,050
#77 = 205

So yes, we wouldn't be getting exact value . . . but I think this year is definitely a buyer's market. It would probably take a less than fair market value deal to move down, and I personally think we should be all for it. That extra third round pick could be Kevin Kolb, and we still get our choice of several guys in the first who we were already targeting at 9.

You guys can holler all you want for an even deal I won't. I'll take that pick and run with it.

In this scenario, our next several picks could be:

#40 - Craig Davis
#60 - Zach Miller
#71 - Andy Alleman
#77 - Kevin Kolb
#108 - Baraka Atkins
#181 - Garrett Wolfe
#199 - Jacob Ford
#219 - Dan Mozes
#225 - Quintin Echols
#238 - Forfeited due to draft pick limit

Of course, it would be nice if we could package some of those late round picks together in order to move up and not have to forfeit one. Still, I would be absolutely ecstatic with that draft (including Staley). The only thing missing is a safety.

I didnt know that there was a draft pick limit. hm

Yah they limited draft picks so that there wouldn't be another Jimmy Johnson-Hershal walker type trades that make a team almost unbeatable for the next decade.

Now I saw on a Falcons message board that there is actually no limit and that people are confusing a rule on Madden as a league rule. Can anyone find a link to verify what the rule is?

why would the steelers move up for brown when staley is right there for the taking?

The Steelers are said to like Brown. They think he fits well, and he is a Penn St. guy. And Pittsburgh has shown no concern about moving up to grab guys they like in the past.

That makes absolutely no sense as an NFL deal. I know that rule applies on Madden, but I've never seen anything like that in the NFL.

I had seen it talked about so often on here that I just took it for truth. I still cannot find anything to verify either way. But hey, I don't mind hanging on to that extra 7th. We could grab a S or FB.

Getting Quinn at 9 is my first and favorite choice.

Trading down is my second favorite choice.

I like the Staley pick.

GO PHINS~!
