Mr. Versatility. Harvin can play WR/RB/PR/KR-Hell, if needed, he could probably be a DB. When talking about his speed, I've said that Percy is as fast as he has to be. If you put him up against a 4.5 guy he will be 4.4. When Chris Rainey challenged he and Jeff Demps to an impromp to race, Rainey lost to Demps(who by the way ran the 2nd fastest 100m in HS(10.01) and almost made the Olympic Sprint Team) and beat him once. He raced Percy twice and lost both times. I get a kick out of these guys who say that Harvin can not run routes. I know the spread is not the best preparation for the NFL, but Harvin has the God-given talent and desire to make an impact in the NFL. In college he ran crisps routes. I never saw him round off his routes, everything was squared off.
-(Darius Butler)
One of the best cover corners in the draft. He is always looking for the big play and has the ability to make it. He is not the most physical CB, but his coverage skills make up for any lack of physicallity. Butler has the ability(if there is such a thing with advantages the offenses have in the passing game) to be a shut down corner in the NFL.
2a. Clint Sintim OLB Virginia(6'3" 254lbs.)
or
2a. Connor Barwin OLB Cincinnati(6'4" 252lbs.)
-(Clint Sintim)
Was a 2nd Team All-ACC in 2008, only because there is another guy in conference named Aaron Curry. He can deliver the big hit, get to the quarterback, drop into coverage and has the size to be a dominating linebacker in the NFL. He has the versatility both play ILB and OLB. He has drawn physical comparisons to Lawrence Taylor, but lacks the all out drive of LT. But if we can get him motivated and avoid those stretches where he coasts along, we would have one Hell of a Linebacker.
-(Connor Barwin)
Barwin is an outstanding pass rusher. Barwin is a former BB player that didn't start playing football at TE till his Junior year. This year he was switched to DE and he recorded 47tkls, 12.5tkls. for loss with 10 sacks this season. He has an excellent first step and has a powerful bull rush. His BB prowess has given him fluidity in the hips and is has great instincts dropping into coverage.
2b. Ron Brace NT Boston College(6'3"324lbs.)
or
2b. Evander Hood NT Missouri(6'4" 300lbs.)
-(Ron Brace)
Jack-Of-All-Trades defensive linemen. While he does not get the attention of his teammate Raji, may be the better value in the draft. Can be an instant contributor on the DL. He is able to penetrate and be a disruptive force. You want him to be more aggressive and use more of his God-given ability, but if he puts it all together can be the steal of this draft class.
-(Evander Hood)
3 yr. starter for the Tigers. He was an avid participant in Missouri's weight program putting 40-45 lbs. on to his frame. He is stout at the point of attack. Explosive off the snap with that burst to close on the ball. He does everything well, but nothing great(Jack-of-all-Trades). Your typical lunch pail player. He is extremely coachable. Whoever gets him on thier team will have a player that will be around for a long time.
3. Kraig Urbik OG Wisconsin(6'6" 326lbs.)
or
3. Marko Mitchell WR Nevada(6'4" 203lbs.)
-(Kraig Urbik)
He is exactly what Sparano is looking for: a big physical road grader for the OL. He has the versatility the coach is looking for to play either RT or RG. His footwork has been a concern, but it did improve this past year. He has the ability to trap and pull. He can get to the second defender. Lastly, he is strong as an OX.
-(Marko Mitchell)
He has a big frame. Needs to add a little bulk to improve his blocking and be more physical. He has great speed for his size. Plays with great technique and balance to keep the defender off him. He has a strong set of hands. He has got that swagger(confidence) that most of the good receivers have.
4. Dominique Johnson CB(6'1"190lbs.)
While he is not the prospect that Dominique-Rogers Cromartie was, he is not far behind. He possess excellent ball skills and speed running a 4.39/40. He is a former Missouri Tiger and finished his senior campaign with 4 ints.
5. Patrick Turner WR(6'5" 220lbs.)
Second to Fred Davis in recieving yards in '07. He had 48rec./569yds. and 3 TDs in '07. He had 49rec./741yds. and 10 TDs in '08. He is a big reciever from USC, hopefully he can turn out better than Mike Williams.
