Points to consider first:
A.) It's happened before and it worked out real nice for the Seahawks allowing them to bag Earl Thomas, remember?
B.) The Seahawks have three, yes, three comp picks this year including 3rd,5th, and a 6th!!! I hate the comp system. Anyway, they can legitimately afford to trade up.
C.) Their entire OL is abysmal and they have an enormous hole at LT. Okung is in Denver.
D.) They also lack depth in their secondary and on their DL. Mebane is gone.

Why do the Dolphins trade down again in the same first round? Tannenbaum recently said it himself," we aren't one player away." That is why I have completely discounted a trade up.

So, it is highly likely that either Ronnie Stanley or Jack Conklin slides to us at 13. We need a young LT ourselves, but with Albert and the added depth of Bushrod and Young, we can wait a year.

According to the chart, Dolphins would be due approximately a 2nd and a 3rd. So we sweeten the pot with a couple throwins. They may actually be interested in Mitchell,Dallas Thomas,Jamar Taylor, or Walt Aikens. In that case we would ask for a 5th and 7th as well but we would probably have to pay most of Mitchell's,Taylor's and Dallas Thomas's salary for this year. Seattle is pretty much stone cold broke.

I'm sure most people on this board will question the value of the players I just mentioned but we are severely prejudice. They have really let us down and greatly disappointed; I despise them as football players as well. However they are all still young and all have tons of starting experience except Aikens, but he is a special teams ace in his own right. These guys have value as depth in the NFL, and IMO, Taylor could still break out in the right circumstances. He may even serve as a backup free safety as well.

Remember, these are just throwin suggestions, but if we have to sacrifice some of our roll over cap money....we deserve significant compensation. Dolphins cap situation going forward is very, very nice. We can afford to pay some salaries to get extra picks.

Please don't ruin the thread by going apeshat over throwins and 2017 late round picks. Just some out of the box stuff here.

So, in this scenario we send the 13 th pick, a few throwins with an additional 4 mil in salary paid, and receive the 26th and 56th pick, a 7th and a 2017 5th and 7th.

Seattle gets their LT and some serious depth for very little money and they still have 6 picks in this year's draft.

Draft:
1st.....If Paxton Lynch is sliding, I have little doubt the Browns will use one of their million draft picks and trade up somewhere in front of Denver.
Mad man Tannenbaum trades down again and garners an additional 5th and 6th.
2nd.... DT/DE Chris Jones This finishes the DT rotation for the next 4 years. He may even play some DE.
2nd.....CB Sean Davis Davis is moving up draft boards. Might be a reach but he fits this system to a tee. I think it is quite possible that he becomes a better pro than Eli Apple.
2nd.....LB Deion Jones Speed baby, Speed!
3rd.....OG Connor McGovern Third time is the charm Dolphins finally hit big with a 3rd
3rd.....LB Jatavis Brown Speed baby, Speed! Phenomenal blitz threat. 12!!! Sacks 20 tfl's
4th.....LB Trade down add a 5th....draft Wendall Smallwood RB 6.4 yards per carry 1545 yds and a good receiver, grossly underrated imo.
4th.....DE/LB Tyrone Holmes Pundits are sleeping on this kid big time, projecting him in the 6th. 18 sacks last year, FCS defensive player of the year. I have seen a few of his games, forget small school bias, this kid is for real. Elite character and intelligence as well as elite athleticism.http://www.foxsports.com/college-fo...stats-fcs-defensive-player-of-the-year-010816
5th......WR Mitch Matthews This kid is older, but wow...http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=90139&draftyear=2016&genpos=WR
5th....CB James Bradberry Another press corner, very smart kid, could develop quickly
6th.....FS/CB Diondre Hall I have seen this kid play on a number of occasions. His play speed and timed speed are like night and day. I suspect he has some serious technique flaw in his track speed efforts, or maybe it is the 35 inch arms, but on the field in games he is blazing fast and has 1st round skills. He is also an excellent tackler and has experience at safety. Another extremely smart, high character kid.
6th....QB Jeff Driskell
7th....Dolphins trade this pick, it's from the Ravens for Will Davis, and the 2017 5th from Seattle, with the 49ers for their 6th and draft OT Joe Haeg.
7th....RB Darius Jackson A real wildcard. Eastern Michigan is a horrendous football team. This kid could just be a true hidden gem. The athleticism is undeniable. His upside, considering where he is coming from, could be enormous. Can he block and receive like Zeke Elliott? doubt it, but maybe in a couple years, he will develop.
7th...RB Jhurell Pressley 4.40 with a 1.44 10 yd split.....that;s absurd! Talk about burst

Undrafted Free Agents
CJ Smith CB Legitimate shutdown corner at the FCS level who had an impressive pro day completely overshadowed by Carson Wentz.
Sebastian Johansson OG Marshall kid who needs a couple years on the PS
Tanner McAvoy TE
Ryan O'Malley TE
Wendell Williams WR/KR ...http://www.cincinnati.com/story/spo...s-419-second-40-yard-dash-nfl-draft/81448092/

Free agency: RB Le'Veon Bell CB Xavier Rhodes Emanuel Sanders WR

2017 draft : Maximum compliment of four comp picks for Vernon,Miller,Matthews,Shelby, and others.
1st....Zach Banner OT
2nd....TE OJ Howard
3rd....Nick DeLuca MLB The next Brian Urlacher
3rd...
4th....
4th...
5th....
6th...
6th ....
7th....
7th....

We may actually, really, legitimately, be playoff relevant for awhile.....for a change.

Who are we picking at 26 man  :lol:

I like the enthusiasm, but this is REALLY farfetched. It's definitely nice in theory though, so I'll give you that.

I appreciate the effort you put into it, but it's funny that you lead off with the trade I always use as a reason NOT to trade down. I'll stick with Earl Thomas and I do the same this year. Filling your team with a plethora of mediocrity leaves you mediocre.

Wow you really went in. I think we should do this trade just because you wrote all this

I applaud your thoughts and I could be happy with that draft, you would think we would hit on a few picks if we had that many.

This almost reminds me of the draft simulator game online

Seattle acquired the rights to the Earl Thomas pick (#14 overall in the 2010 NFL Draft) in 2009, when Denver traded the pick for the 2009 37th (CB Alphonso Smith) overall pick. So, Seattle did not to move up to get Earl Thomas.

With regard to the players, I like Davis, Bradberry, and Hall. I also like both LB's, McGovern, and Pressley. Are you going to be able to roster each of Davis, Bradberry, and Hall, though?

Chris Jones isn't high on my list of fits for Miami. With his length and agility, he looks best suited as a 5-tech. At 6'6, he may have rough time at the Nose, and it wouldn't utilize his best traits - length/agility. He was not productive with the Bulldogs, and as an athlete, he's above average by NFL DT standards, but he's a bigger risk to bust than most of the analysts admit. Vernon Butler and Javon Hargrave are better players, physical talents, and fits - Hargrave being the best. On the draft forum, Awsi mentioned wanting him in RD 2 if possible, and I think he's right that if you want him, you better draft him in the 2nd. Currently projected in the 3rd, when you factor in his dominance with his physical skill set, you don't worry that he played in the FCS. He may not have the agility to excel as a 3, but as a NT in a 1-gap D, you could look at him as a more athletic Sylvester Williams.

I agree....Earl Thomas and Randy Moss were two classic examples of the Dolphins losing out by tradedown....John Avery & Jared Odrick?

I don't mind the 8 to 13 move because I believe we got two starters and the talent is similar at 8 and 13.....But 13 to 26 is a different matter.

Jamar Taylor is being written off way too soon. He's still a young player and with good coaching can improve his technique. He is not limited physically.
His rookie season was redshirt season, so he's really entering his 3rd season as a player. Give the new staff a chance to work with him and see what develops. The team needs to build through the draft and this is the way you do that.
Dallas Thomas on the other hand...........

I'm more patient than most on here. However, I've seen enough of Jamar to feel that he is a bonafide bust. Good physique for a CB, but I've seen zilch to give me any confidence in his ability moving forward. I actually have greater optimism in Dallas Thomas and his potential as a Dolphin than Jamar Taylor.
Hope I'm wrong and Jamar becomes a stud but I doubt it. He may struggle to hold his roster spot.

I'll take a plethora of mediocrity if one out of 5 turns into Madison, Surtain, Thomas, or Taylor.

In your scenario of a win-now Seattle team making a play for a LT, Why not trade them Brandon Albert for a 2 and a 3 ? We draft the OT, get a guard with the 2nd rounder. This may fix our OL, while lowering our cap, getting younger, and adding another pick. Would then have a 2 and 2 3's for CB, etc. Obviously, this eliminates getting VH3 or Zeke, but addresses what happens if Albert breaks down in the next year or 2.
