My first try at a Mock Draft Tell me what you think (1st 9 picks only)

Team Needs: Based on Footballsfuture website (www.footballsfuture.com)

Pick: 1 Oakland ( Needs QB, OL, RB)
Brady Quinn (Al Davis type pick)

Pick: 2 Detroit (Needs OL, QB, CB)----Surprise Pick
Joe Thomas (trade for Matt Schuab) (To much money spent on the position for an unseasoned QB, in a city that turn promising QB into nothing)

Either order
Pick: 3 Cleveland (Needs DL, OG, CB)
Adrian Peterson (Bring the Browns closer to the Jim Brown days)

Pick: 3 Tampa Bay (Needs QB, DEF, WR)
Calvin Johnson (Jalloway getting older)

Pick: 5 Arizona (Needs OL, DB, OLB)
Antoine Cason (Joe Thomas is gone and they will not reach for Levi Brown)

Pick: 6 Washington (Needs DE, CB, MLB, OL)
Patrick Willis (Gibbs needs a hungry MLB --- similar to W.Marshall from his old Redskin days)

Pick: 7 Minnesota (Needs OG, QB, LB. WR)
Dwayne Jarrett (They have no WR for Jackson/Johnson to through to)

Pick: 8 Houston (Needs DEF, OL)
Marshawyn Lynch (They make up for not taking Reggie Bush & Dayne is not the answer)

Pick: 9 Miami (Needs OG, DL, LB)
Leon Hall is my pick a shut down corner and has the resume to prove it

What about JaMarcus Russell???? In a perfect draft I would pick him and still get the CB i want in the 2nd Round but you must ask yourself if you take him you might as well say good bye to Daunte (contract ends 2013) B/C you don't want to pay a Rookie QB this type of money and let him sit on the bench for the life of his entire rookie contract. (It worked in San Diego with Philip Rivers, b/c Drew Bress was a pending free agent)

To be honest I want us to draft offense first round, but it must be a player that has performed on a year by year basis and is not injured or atleast has played a year after he was injured (like Pozluszny) to see if he has returned to his former self

This is based on speculations that Junior these junior will declare or have already declared for the draft and is absent the direction the new coach wants to take the team, its solely based on our needs as though we still had Saban. So tell me what you think, so i can go back to the drawing board.

Thats my 2 cents

ok ok. Pretty respectable. I dont see Lynch getting that high, but everything else i can agree with. As for JaMarcus, our new HC might want to make a statement. new Franchise QB, new franchise culture. that sort of things. But personally, i see cleveland taking him if he shows a good combine workout.

Nice game Hall had against a premier WR in Dwayne Jarret. Got Torched for 2TD and 200yds.

WE NEED OFFENSE.

Imo:

Pick: 9 Miami (Needs OG, DL, LB)
Leon Hall is my pick a shut down corner and has the resume to prove it

If by Shut Down Corner you mean in a big game, he shuts down then I agree with you. Not so sure I want him in Miami.

Interesting draft none the less!

Leon Hall didn't cover Jarrett very much in the Rose Bowl, and the one big play that got buy him, it was the safety's fault for not giving him help over the top.

Im just gonna say, it really doesnt matter. His reputation is ruined, that much is for sure. and then there are those who claim, 'he wasn't covering jarret.' Well then i have to argue, WHY wasn't he covering Jarret? Did his coahc not believe in him? Did his coach not believe he could handle it? Either way, Hall comes out of the situation looking stupid.

Yes he did cover him in the 2nd half.

I cant remember did he cover Ted Ginn Jr. ?

Calvin Johnson better be the 1st pick of the draft....Oaklands best plan is to go after Schaub and draft this WR.

If Miami picks Leon Hall ill **** myself...The guy is overated...See Marlin Jackson.

I don't think Gaines Adams will fall that much.

Some players Miami should consider IMO: QB Brian Brohm (if he declares)
DE Gaines Adams
OT Levi Brown (if his stock goes up)
WR Dwayne Jarrett
S LaRon Landry
CB Leon Hall
OT Tony Ugoh
CB Darrelle Revis
LB Pat Willis
DT Alan Branch (if he declares)
DE LaMarr Woodley
WR Ted Ginn (if he declares)
WR Calvin Johnsn (a long shot)
DT Amobi Okoye

id love calvin johnson....tell you the truth i think we can build our defense in the later rounds and need to get offensive help big time.....and being that there arent many free agent WR this year i say we go after johnson or jarrett.....i think both will be there......if not give me the top offensive lineman

Unless he gets injured, or tests for drugs at the combine, Johnson will be long gone by pick 9.
