wales and will die a prou
Here goes and I welcome you comments.

1-Lions/M Stafford - Shwartz said it himself 'franchises built on QB'

2-Rams/J Smith - They wanted Jake and now bigger need after losing Pace

3-Cheifs/E Monroe - Put B Albert at Rt or as i would LG and u got what seahawks had with Hutch and W Jones for 10 yrs

4-Seahawks/A Curry
- Biggest cert in draft and fills need left by Peterson.

5-Browns/B Orakpo
- Need Pass rush and will help K wimbley get to QB

6-Bengals/B J Raji
- Considered A smith but Bengals have had enough trouble with players overlast couple of years and Marvin Lewis has normally gone defence with draft picks. Raji and Peko could stop the run ......finally(Jamaal Lewis will be devestated).

7-Oackland/A Smith - Al Davis never bothered by charachter just talent. And pure talent before combine many has him No.1, one site i saw said he was naturally better than Long and Joe Thomas. With Tom Cable as Head Coach, I think they would be delighted to see him drop to 7.

8-Jags-/M Crabtree - Considered OT but on talent and Need, I think Crabtree fills both criteria.

9-Green Bay/M Oher - did consider T Jackson adn E Brown, but with expected run on tackles and it being their biggest need, I believe smart pick would be Oher, as players like J Gilbert, Ron Brace and possible L English and maybin may be avail with 2nd

10-49ers/M Sanchez - A Smith or S Hill no more to be said

11-Bills/E Brown
- No pass rush last year and A shobel coming back from injury and up there in age i think as most do this is essential to underrated defence.

12-Broncos/K Moreno
- surprise pick. Biggest needs i agree are on defence. But no genuine DT worth this high a pick and i did consider R Maualuga and T Jackson, but with the type of offense Mcdaniels runs and teh fact Denver has no Rb, Moreno would be a star and is worth the value at 12.

13-Redskins/R Ayers
- fills spot left by Taylor and is more suited to LE.

14-Saints/M Jenkins - Best Cb on tape in draft and fills biggest need. Did consider Beanie Wells but I think P Thomas is very underrated and better value for RB in lower rounds.

15-Texans/P Jerry - Did Consider LB and CB, but with Perry, Okoye, Mario Williams and new addition A Smith they could possibly drop all back 7 into coverage.

16-San Diego/R Maualuga
- Biggest needs are safety, RT and ILB. Rey is my pick as again he fills need and i worth the value at 16.

17-Jets/J Freeman
- Kellen who?????????? and after Ryan so his nr clone Flacco work wonders in Baltimore he has got to hasnt he.

18-Broncos/T Jackson
- Fills massive need on DL and probably best DE for 3-4 in draft.

19-Tampa/B Cushing
- Fills big void at LB and worth the pick at 19.

20-Lions/E Britton - Shwartz has talked about drafting in pairs and he gets what he wants QB and LT. Rest of draft all defence.

21-Eagles/W Beatty - Andy Reid statisically goes with Lineman and with Tra Thomas gone and J Runyan on last legs fills major need.

22-Vikings/J Maclin
- Did consider OT and another pass rusher but Maclin good value and playmaker at 22.

23-Patriots/C Matthews - After watching Willie Mcgneist on NFL.com, this guy fills everything Bill Belichick looks for in LB, tough, relentless and versatile.

24-Falcons/V Davis
- This one is more in hope as i think the falcons would be worried V Davis is too much like D Hall and I prefer D Butler.

25-Dolphins/D Butler - As mentioned above and fills biggest need and good value at 25. Think Bill would like to have DT or Rush OLB, but i believe better value with Butler and Larry English plus R Brace may be available with 2nd rnd picks.

26-Ravens/Alphonso Smith - Underated playmaker who would flourish in pressure defence and again fills big need for ravens.

27-Colts/Ziggy Hood
- DT needed and as many said perfect fit for colts one-gap defence.

28-Eagles/B Pettigrew - Loss of LJ Smith and one of best players in draft.

29-Giants/Percy Harvin - Considered Beanie Wells, but I think WR is biggerneed after loss of Burress and Toomer.

30-Titans/Heywood-Bey - After picking up C Johnson last year mainly due to his speed, with WR always being big need for Titans they may piss in their pants if Heywood-Bey drops to 30.

31-Arizona/Beanie Wells - Ken Whisenhunt gets the physical runner he has always wabted in Arizona.

32-Steelers/Max Unger
- Can cover all 4 positions but he fills need and is worth value to cover up weakest hole in steelers middle 3.

I think Sean Smith is the only cb the dolphins take in the first round unless malcolm jenkins falls to them, which probably won't happen. I am just praying Miami takes Hakeem Nicks.

I think D Butler better than S Smith and rated in top 20 of mayocks most talented players.

The knock on Butler is his lack of physical play and coming up and making tackles... sound like a BP player?

I agree - in ideal world I would take M Jenkins. But corner first job is to cover WR and i believe D Butler is 2nd best cover corner in draft. BP drafted T newman for Dallas and he is no way near being scouted as a physical tackling corner.

J Allen is physical and good tackler but so far has shown no coverage skills and would struggle against Wilford..................ok ive taken it too far, but you know what i mean.

Sean Smith or Butler either one should be capable of filling our dire need at CB.

ditto...6-3 man is a safety in CB's clothing...however that is not a bad thing if we get him anyways but Butler is a better tackler and is versatile. Faster.

BUTLER is the only Shut Down CB that will come out of this draft. IMO

I think this is an overstatement based on the fact that shut down corners do not really exist because too many WR sets and the way the game is played now.

But I will say this:

BP and co. want what in their players? Character, work-ethic, passion for the game (aside from talent). That spells the kid from UConn over the others.

Sean Smith or Butler either one should be capable of filling our dire need at CB.

What if we get both at 25 and 44? I have considered this. Not likely but if they liked both a lot and were available according to the board, then what if?

CB prob solved for the next couple years.

Sounds like Mike Mayock talking...like "Jake Long is not a Left Tackle IMO"
