I know a lot of people here created a mock draft. I don't really want to expend the effort to grade everyone else's mock...so I'll let you do it yourself!

That was my final mock draft.

The Huddle Report's scoring is as follows: You get 1 point for every player that was drafted in the first round, that you had being drafted in the first round. You get an additional 2 points for every player you had going to the correct TEAM.

On that basis, my score is either 44 or 46 points. The reason I say either is because ever since the very first iteration of my mock draft, I had the Jets trading up to #8 to take Mark Sanchez. I had it written that way in my explanation every time. I believe I should be given 46 points. If I knew the exact rules of the scoring before I did the mock I would have had Sanchez going #17 to the Jets.

On that basis, I would have tied with Todd McShay for #4 of 98. This is ahead of Rick Gosselin, ahead Al Fronczak, ahead of every famous or semi-famous draftnik except for Michael Abromowitz.

The very first iteration of my mock, by the way, would have scored me 36 points, which would have put me in the middle of the pack. My second iteration would have scored me somewhere close to 46 points although I'm not sure exactly what, maybe more than 46 points truth be told. So, I do not think my 46 points is just some fluke.

What did you guys score? I know y'all did a bunch of mock drafts! I'm willing to bet FH has at least one person here who would have taken first prize in The Huddle Report's ranking with 50+ points.

Evidently The Huddle Report didn't grade Mike Mayock. He would have scored a 47, edging me by one point. This would have given him sole possession of 4th place, and had me tied for 5th place with Todd McShay...out of 100 entries.

*******!

I regret flip-flopping Eugene Monroe and Jason Smith last minute. But I'm not sure the lesson to be learned from that.

The lesson learned is that when you get inside word on what Al Davis is going to do, the crazier it sounds, the more likely it is to be true. I had good solid word on Darius Heyward-Bey to him at #7 but I stubbornly refused to believe he would be that dumb. It cost me big time. If I had DHB going to him, I would have had Maybin going to the Bills at #11 just like I did with my 1st iteration. And, with DHB off the board, I would have made it so that Maclin would fall to the Eagles because I was absolutely convinced the Eagles were going to somehow come away with either Maclin or DHB. Also, if I didn't have Oher going to the Bills at #11, I was set to have him fall a long way and make the decision over whether to have NE take him at #23, or Baltimore at #26. I was convinced the Lions were going to go defense with #20 (they didn't, but it means I'd have had Oher make it past them).

Overestimating Al Davis may have cost me between 6 and 8 points.

I wish you had beaten that Norwiki guy from profootball weekly, that would have been so cool! He bothers me.

no, I apparently have far less free time on my hands than some. Why is this thread on the main board and the draft one? Is it really that important?

so what do you do on ur free time?? CK does what he has a passion for, football. and yea it is that important because everyone loves CK. u have a little too much free time if ur complaining about threads. and what else is there to talk about that hasnt already been mentioned in other threads??

hopefully one day I can get everyone on an internet chatboard to love me. until then, my life has an empty feeling to it. my free time tonite will be spent watching hockey and the Manny/Hatton fight, since you asked.

so add the hockey game and fight up and how much time will u be spending in front of the tv?? im sure in that amount of time u could do a mock draft.

what if I dont want to do one? is that ok? I understand mocks are fun for alot of people, but what bothers me is the ego I see creeping into them. its just one big educated guessing game, yet some act and talk as if they are working in the NFL. they wouldnt be on here if they were.

i didnt say u had to do one. im saying dont call someone out about wasting their free time when u actually do have to time to do it.

and so why do u spread ur opinions on here and ur ego arises from those opinions on FinHeaven. is that not the same as having a mock draft except the mock drafts are a competition and this could be explained as a waste of time more then mock drafts because the lack of competition..
