tell me what you think ,its possible didint finish it cause i was lazy:lol:

Certainly possible, but that would be assuming Brohm comes out. Gaines Adams will be gone by our pick, but I'd be suprised if AZ passed on him.

I can't see Brohm being the best player on the board at 9, lets not get carried away with the QB position, I think getting healthy adding a LT and finding a deep threat at the WR, wll do this team wonders. Our D would have been even better if our O wasn't so injured and produced.

it's possible. But if Brohm has a solid showing, and he actually does declare first, then i cant see houston and minny passing up on him.

I agree. We need a Quarteback I'll agree but not with the first pick. OL or DB IMO.

I think the only position in the league thats ALLOWED to be reached on is a QB. IMO brohm will be reached for no matter what, but it doesnt matter. He'd be the leader of the franchise and that's what we need. Theres no LT worth taking in the first other then Joe Thomas, so that positions out. And we'd probably be reaching on a WR at the #9 spot too, so ir we're gonna reach, it might as well be on a QB.

And when is Brohm to be the Phins starter? What happens if DC comes back strong and starts for the next 7 years. This would be just another wasted pick. QB is not the #1 priority in the draft

I agree wholeheartedly. Brohm doesn't impress me. I'd draft some building pieces or trade down for more draft picks and take Troy Smith later in the 1st.

Minny just got Jackson in the 2nd round last year. I think they'll give him more than 2 starts to prove himself.

First off, culpepper will not be the starter here til he's 37 yrs old. It aint happenin. And even if DC does comeback, i'd say thats a win-win situation.

I agree with you that Oline is the #1 priority. but its a priority we CANNOT fill with our first pick. and if you think WR or defense is a bigger need then QB, you're wrong.

"what if DC is healthy and he comes back strong?"
"Thats great...But what if he doesn't?"
"...."

so tell me...what LT out of college is worthy of a # 9 pick, other than Thomas ?

and the only other WR I would pick is Jarrett, but I bet he's gone before we pick.

and, we should no longer just look for the best player available...I am sure there were better players than Young (#3), Leinart (#10) and Cutler (#12), but those teams needed/wanted a QB. Those teams are set at QB, aren't they.

WE NEED A QB !!!!!! PERIOD.

trading down is not an automatic...you need a taker first.

assuming smith, or anyone else for that matter, will be available "later in the first round" is the wrong strategy.

you take who u want when your time comes up...u don't want to blow up your chance.

and, what doesn't impress you about brohm...stats ??, size ??, mobility ??, program he played in ??, or is it just a hunch.

Honestly, I can't agree with you. If Daunte comes on and returns to old form, then we are blessed with having a future trade possibility. Situations like this have done wonders for teams who have great depth. The pros outweigh the cons. I will say that it would be wise to look at a QB who can throw on the run. If Daunte fails it will be because the pocket is collapsing too quickly and he can't regain mobility. A QB who can throw on the run (not a running QB mind you) will be a good alternative to Daunte. Quinn is the least accurate of the top QB's when throwing across his body. Just an observation.

just some dolphin trivia so you can appreciate the importance of the QB...

many, many years ago, when the dolphins were just getting started, they struggled big time with their QB situation

they drafted rick norton in the expansion draft, but he didn't pan out.

they also drafted, or he was a "free" agent, a kid by the name of George Wilson jr., who happened to be the son of our head coach.

he kept us afloat for a while, but wasn't the answer

then we got someone called John Stofa...now, John was awesome...he looked like the real thing, even though his credentials were weak.

we started winning and we looked like we were all set.

then came the draft again, the year when spurrier won the heisman...that year, there was a scrawny kid from Purdue, not too big, not a strong arm...just a winner. His name was Bob Griese.

now, even though we didn't need a QB, we were smart enough to draft him (can't recall what pick, but it was a top 5 i believe).

the rest is history.

we are not settled at QB...lets get a QB if one is available...he will not be a wasted pick.
