Our game against Washington has caused a resurfacing of some buried concerns:

1. Why did Grier spend a 2nd rounder for Rosen if our Oline makes it very difficult to assess his abilities? I understand the shedding of large contracts, and trades too good to pass up but why make this trade when we had Falk, Fitz and who ever else?
2. Why did the line appear competent when Fitz came into the game? Is there a "anti-Rosen" sentiment in the locker room specifically the O-line?

Yes, but there were other free agent QBs who could have delivered without the 2nd round.

This is good question..why did we let Arizona off hook. too me dolphins need mobile qb. Offense line cannot block. Rosen does not fit this offense we trying run.. I am no expert but Rosen will likely be good backup qb in nfl.

He took Rosen because really it was a mid round pick he spent on him and a deferred 2nd (since we got it back in 2020) and minimum salary. It really was a no brainier trade.

Even if he isn't a starter he's a better backup QB option than most of the league has in terms of salary.

Well Rosen need offense line to succeed in nfl..Dolphins did not do him any favor at all. This is worst dolphins team . I have seen as dolphins fan.

too bad we didnt take chase winovych with that 2nd rounder and Garner Minshew with a later pick like a certain daily podcaster wanted all offseason leading up to the draft. *cough Travis *cough

It is a good question, but since its only the interest on a 2nd round pick and thus and in reality, a mid round pick the downside is very minimal.

Might as well roll with him and see what comes of it....perhaps he is a QB that takes a bit longer or needs to find "it". If he isn't well then we move on from him as a starter.

Could be worse, we could be the Bungles or the Jets, a flucking mess without any plan at all. We have plan it seems, time will tell if its a good one.

The biggest concern moving forward is the Dolphins ability to draft well. So far this recent draft is looking very weak. Obviously its too early to judge these guys, but from what I've seen so far Rosen and Deiter are looking like wasted picks that we can't afford to have. If Deiter does not develop into an avg starter by the end of the season, we will have to replace almost the entire Oline next offseason.

1) It was a reasonably cheap acquisition for a highly drafted prospect.

2)He is an insurance policy against not being in draft position for Tua.

3) He is competition for Tua and at worst a quality backup.

4) If you get Tua, you can always showcase Rosen with a much improved surrounding cast in 2020 and get your pick back.

Still a no brainer trade.

Funny to me how Rosen looks better in every game than Fitzpatrick, and one decent game by Fitzpatrick sways some fans?...Fitzpatrick always has a good game once a blue moon.

If we had draft Rosen last yr. It would be fair. Getting Rosen this yr is un fair. Either way u look at it new qb is coming to dolphins. Is it fair for Rosen no. We suck

Nailed it on multiple levels!

We essentially swapped drafts to pick in the second round, while acquiring/taking a chance on the 10th overall selection from the previous draft. It's beyond obvious that our FO liked the 2020 draft more than 2019 if you look at how they maneuvered during and after the draft.

We lost nothing in this trade. Literally, nothing.

And Josh Rosen was worth it. He's delivering.... again.... for a second straight season. He's going to be 2/2 on leading teams to getting their franchise guy. Fitzpatrick gets this team 3-4 wins if he starts all 16 games, IMO. Rosen might not even put the ball in the endzone 3-4 times at this rate.
