Ricky Williams once again worked with the first team, and Brown took his reps with the second team. Until Brown gets more experience, the next several practices should follow a similar pattern. Williams still looks more explosive than Brown, but that should be expected since the rookie has not yet grown accustomed to the speed of the NFL.
Gus Frerotte continued to run the first-team offense Monday despite his struggles against Pittsburgh on Saturday. At times, A.J. Feeley looked more impressive in practice. Late in the workout, during 7-on-7 drills, Frerotte floated two consecutive passes over his receivers. Feeley, on the other hand, had a few nice completions, including one he threaded to WR Bryan Gilmore.
RB Ronnie Brown had a solid practice, still running with the second team. Feeley connected with the rookie on several passes, and Brown displayed the talented hands that have made him so highly regarded. Brown did, however, look a bit hesitant as he hit the line when he was running the ball. Rather than simply hitting a hole, he bounced around the backfield twice  which kept him from making a gain either time.
