400x300 pixel range and below 40k in size are the size restraints for posters on Finheaven. Many people would like to have a bigger sig or longer animation. I was thinking the Finheaven could sell more sig space.

Free: 400x300 pixel range and below 40k in size.

$10.00 (per year): 400x300 pixel range and below 60k in size.

$20.00 (per year): 500x350 pixel range and below 80k in size.

What do you think?

Brother I like the idea! It is just whether the staff and system can handle the bigger sigs.

I was wondering the same thing. They could start a poll to see if there would be enough people interested to make it work. If there's enough people then it could pay for new equipment and software, plus other needs the site has hopefully.

EDIT: There are over 12,000 Finheaven members. If 10% are interested in the additional space that would be atleast $12,000 for Finheaven :D

Nice math.... but out of the 12,000 members, how many of them have more than 10 posts? I doubt a guy with 2 posts is going to want to pay 10 bucks to extend the file size of his non-existant signature.

I just checked the memberlist...... 357 pages of members. However 300 of the pages of members consist of guys with less than 10 posts, guys who are banned, and guys who havent visited the site in over a year.

Technically you are looking at about 57 pages of "active" members.... and even that number is a little generous.

Even if only 500 members are interested, that's at least $5,000. That's $5,000 more then Finheaven has now.

I highly doubt you are going to get 500 people willing to pay 10 bucks to have a slightly larger signature. Heck, I can imagine it might even be hard to get 50 people willing to do that.

I think your original 10% estimation was a conservative one and I would stick to around that tops.

We're discussing an issue similar to this that may make this a mute point. Unfortunately it's only in the discussion stage at this point and I'm not free to tell you exactly what we are planning.

Stay tuned, and stay active. :D
