Why would Ross still be evaluating McDaniel or the team and thinking they're not lost cause yet

Mr. Ross is 85-years old, so I expect what he is "evaluating" these days are things like what's on the lunch menu and when to take a nap. The reason I expect that he will fire McD within a game or two is he is likely growing tired of having people ask him when he will fire McD.

I’d laugh at this post if I thought you were joking.

Do you know any 85-year old people and, or spend time with them?
The guy is probably busier and more active than over half of the 40 yr old and younger people on this board.

Let's review:
For years you've been wrong about Tua and still to this day proclaim him to be an "elite NFL QB" even though he is immobile, struggle to throw the ball longer than 20-yards, and is not especially accurate.
For years you've proclaimed McD is a good head coach because he "led the Dolphins to the playoffs", but the reality is that stumbling in with a loaded roster and round 1 losses exposed him.
Now you're on here claiming 85-year old Ross is doing jumping-jacks everyday in between meetings with potential GM's and coaches and players about the Dolphins future strategy?

How do you function in everyday normal life?

For 3 straight years Tua was playing at an elite level. You can keep making things up and deny that fact, but the truth won’t change. Since the 3rd week of 2024 I’ve stated many times that the Dolphins need to move on from Tua. This year is why I thought that way. He’s injured.

When McD has had his healthy ELITE playing QB, and just an average OL this team was very good. No HC wins without their starting QB and half the team on IR. That, too, is just the truth.

Ross is 85, but he’s flying around the country doing things no one here is doing. Just because you don’t understand the stamina a person needs to do what he’s doing doesn’t mean he’s not doing it. Using jumping jacks as your barometer for being active is just another absurd take from you.

🎯

And whether he needs to order more Depends. But he probably has an assistant for that.

You should be looking in a mirror when you ask that.

And this team has NEVER been "very good" this century. Getting into the playoffs and then going one-and-done isn't "very good." 40% of the league is in the playoffs every year. So that's barely above average.

Seriously. Wake the frick up.

Best post of the week and possibly of the entire season! Quite a bit of truth in it as well.

That’s exactly what we have now and you’re ok with continuing this? He’s had 4 years and we still can’t win or even make the playoffs again!

So tired of it all, we have seen teams go from 1-3 wins to contenders and Super Bowl births in 4 years!

No. This team was not very good. This team beat bad opponents. This team lost to good ones. Consistently, and regularly. This team scraped into the playoffs. This team won no playoff games.

So basically, this team was a slightly above average team, at its very best under McDaniel. It was never very good.

Would you read the rest of the thread? I responded to another poster. I further explained the truth I was talking about was NOT about keeping McDaniel on as coach.
