More jaw dropping Tua stats!!

The Cowboys struggled on the road last year, 4-5
Tua did not beat Dallas. He wants to play that game, well then Tua just lost to Green Bay. The Dallas game was about Jason Sanders and our defense, and Dallas also being a choking dog team. Plus we went 1-4 down the stretch against good teams or something like that, you can't hang your hat on the one win. Yeesh

He's not perfect, I never claimed that. Tua certainly has things to work on.

My point is that Tua isn't the reason we lose games, we lose games because the team is not executing plays in any facet of the game.

Tua is a very good QB, but he isn't good enough to overcome the mountain of problems the rest of the team keeps saddling him with. Very few, if any QBs can do that.

I don't think Tua is a top 3 QB. Not yet. But he is definitely top 10 and arguably top 6 in the league imo.
I agree with all that. The team takes ridiculously stupid penalties far to often. Tua is def top 10. Someone else was saying top 3 and I absolutely cannot get behind that right now.

I agree with some of what you say but he has great weapons on offense. He should have no problem putting up points, not only against bad teams but good teams.

You assume too much my unenlightened friend.

You assumption assumes pass catchers will catch the ball every time. They don’t. In fact, how many critical TDs have Tyreek and Waddle dropped, that could have changed the final outcome of the game?

Know that and you will know the turdness of your analysis and arguments. 😂

Why would I rank QB's for you, stop being lazy and use the internet to look.

You can find tons of top 5 QB lists and Tua isn't in any of them for good reason.

When you continually lose by several scores to good teams, you aren't a top 5 QB.

Stats are great when you're winning, not when you're losing.

I never asked you to rank QBs for me - I asked you to rank them yourself. - BIG Difference! - LOL

So, you again have failed to rank QBs by yourself. Self-Doubt or laziness or lack of knowhow on your part, or a combination of all three? - LOL

Someone doesn't know football is a team sport. - LOL

When statistics are developed using appropriate criteria, they are always valid. Great, or not great, is an emotional response - not a statistic. - LOL

Thank you for exposing the level of ignorance you post. - It saved me the trouble of posting a "Lemming Alert". - LOL

I only answered to show you the "ERROR" of your post for your own benefit.
This is the kind of response you will see from an honest man; something that is probably out of your league.

In reality, I expect that any response from you will be "a dig that hole deeper" knd of response that will not require another response from me.

Always excuses. I imagine you don't watch a lot of NFL games besides Miami but drops happen to every team. Highly recommend you watch other teams once in a while, especially teams with top 5 QB's.

LOL this response hilarious.

Why would I rank QB's for myself? I know you won't be able to resist responding with your clever insight. LOL

Throwing a TD pass with 2 min left down 21 means absolutely nothing, meaningless garbage time STATS.

Tua is a good QB and an even better person, but he has continually come up way short when it matters. It's not all his fault either, but he's the captain of the offense. Leading the team to 10 points with 2 min left isn't getting it done.

Just putting some popcorn on, can't wait to hear back from you lol

Common sack by Bengals DT? Please post the video of it. WWE slammed.
Yeah, rag dolled like I've never seen before. a vicious tackle that would have concussed most QB's not named Josh Allen or Cam Newton. It was like watching a doberman get ahold of a squirrel and shake it until it stopped moving.

If you actually watched games you would see that Tua is carrying this entire team. The stats don’t lie. He’s been a top 3 qb for 3 plus years now. Keep moving the goal posts if you want. If you don’t see he’s elite by now than you are blinded and you never will.
Top 3 QB for 3 years? He's not top 3 in the AFC. C'mon. Allen, Burrow, Mahomes, Stroud, Herbert, Lamar Jackson and there's probably nearly that many in the NFC.

You're basically saying that if we got a do-over in that 2020 draft you'd still take Tua?

I doubt Tua, by himself, in the game of American football, can beat any NFL team, let alone a losing NFL team.

Despite this fact, people keep saying Tua needs to beat winning teams.

Tua, by himself, has never challenged an entire NFL team. Ever. Nor will he ever. So, Tua beating a winning team is impossible.

Tua plays on a team. The team wins or loses, not Tua. When Miami loses, Miami lost the game. Same when Miami wins a game. The team won the game.

Why is that hard to understand for some?

Cognitive impairment?
"Ok, so what if Ditka plays the Green Bay Packers by himself, who wins the game?" Chris Farley says "Ditka 56...Packers 3!" John Goodman says "No way Packers get 3!"

My only issue with Tua is his injury history. I kinda get the “ he hasn’t put the team on his back to win a big game” narrative.

But almost every time a QB puts “his team on his back” to win a big game, there’s a great defensive play, a great block, a great catch, a key penalty or missed tackle on a big scramble, etc that allows that to happen in addition to great QB play.

Unfortunately Miami hasn’t had the right combination of those things to happen yet.

Agreed on the whole team choked in Dec. last year...what's new with that? This team with Tom Brady would not be any better. If the Eternal Optimists on here think we win out and get a Wild-Card, I don't see it. Actually, the Dolphins usually choke in Dec. Lone season where they actually played better was under Flores 1st year when they went on a run and won like their last 6, or so games. This team now is not built to win on the road in cold weather. Until we get a HC who wants a team that is smash-mouth, run 1st at will and pass 2nd, we aren't going anywhere!

offenses stall some games. Mahome shad 19 vs the raiders at home, Murray had 6 vs Seattle, Cousins scored 6 vs the broncos.

Its hard to ask for a win when the Run game is garbage and the Defence sucks.

Why is Stroud better than anybody? He won 1 playoff game vs a bad Jags and now he's top 5 or something. He has done nothing.

Teir 1 is Mahomes, herbert, lamar, allen, Burrow

Teir 2 would be Love, Hurts, Tua, Stafford, Goff, and maybe Stroud

That puts Tua around at least #11.

Tuas main issue outside a dysfunctional organization is his injuries (cant trust his health). Its hard to deny the guy is a great passer.

Tua is not top three. That's Mahomes, Jackson and Allen. You might switch Allen and Jackson. Those two are close.

After that, if he's healthy Burrow is probably next but he's been injured a lot. That factors in with Tua as well. Personally, I would rank Tua ahead of Herbert but that might be minority thinking and being a Miami Dolphins fan. I'd probably rank the top group like this.

1. Mahomes (I don't think there's even an argument here).
2. Jackson
3. Allen
4. Burrow (over Allen if he were healthier)
5. Stafford
6. Goff
7. Purdy
8. Tua (could be higher if clutch Tua returns)
9. Hurts
10. Herbert
11. Stroud
12. Murray
13. Prescott
14. Love

Forget Purdy. Decent QB on a very well-coached team. NO WAY this guy is a better QB than Tua. Purdy participated in a Super Bowl, but if he played on the Dolphins, he would have nowhere near the stats Tua does. Tua did not give up 24 points in the 1st half a couple nights ago. He made 2 bad throws that night, had others dropped. COACHING is our problem! How can anyone not see that!?
