More long news to miami and Mcfad to drop out of 20? whoa hello Dallas

An NFL Network analyst reported during NFL total access that Darren McFadden's stock is dropping, he expects to see him drafted no earlier than after the first 20 picks. Darren McFadden is also not considered the the number one RB going to the draft, Illinois RB Rashard Mendenhall is number one.

Three well-connected NFL sources in Hawaii for Sunday's Pro Bowl each said, independent of the other, that there is mounting evidence to think Long will be the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft.

Mendehall is great and everything but I dont' see him suplanting Mcfadden as number one back in this years draft, watching McFadden reminds me of Adrian Peterson just with more top end speed. He will get drafted before 20. I would be absolutley shocked if he wasn't.

Zach, they are stating that Chris Long will likely be top pick. As for Run DMC out of the top 20, I still dont see him getting past Oakland. I think they are either to take him or Sedrick Ellis. I think they will take Darren.

I think Mendenhall is the third best back. I think number one goes to Jonathan Stewart of Oregon. Hes a hell of a talent with rare power and speed in one. Second, I still think its McFadden. That is just my opinion.

Yep- thats my Number 1 as well. I think a team might get him mid-first or even early second and end up with the absolute steal of the draft.

I think McFadden is going to have a short NFL Stint, and I definately dont wish bad things on him.
Just by watching tons of clips, he runs very upright, doesnt obsorb hits very well (Was able to get away with it at the collegiate level) and his upper body carries most of his bulk. I have only seen one other runningback ever run as upright and be successfull- Dickerson..and I personally dont think McFadden is even close to Dickerson in the power-level.....Remember, Dickerson had a relatively short NFL Career.

Yeah I agree with you. I put Run DMC second because no matter what, you cant dismiss what hes done. I think Felix Jones could be just as successful as him in the NFL. But whoever gets Stewart is going to have one hell of a back for long period of time hopefully. He can do it all. I think Stewarts stock will skyrocket after the combine. In the end, I think he is the number one back in this draft but possibly not the number one selected.

Back to McFadden, i dont think hes like Peterson either. Peterson has an amazing burst and tremendous cut back ability. He can take any play to the house as it was displayed against Chargers and Bears this past season.

I still hope that Oakland shows their interest through the press for McFadden because then we could possibly get Jerry Jones to trade up and screw him out of players/picks. If we are not able to trade down with 'Boys then I think we take Chris Long with the number one overall.

uh i highly doubt that. McFad has top speed that pulls away AP has top speed taht goes feet to feet with other defenders. once he is ahead they can't catch him b/c he has almost evne speed but McFad has that gera where its like T Ginns, he'll keep pulling.

Run DMC was a lot better last year. It seemed to me like he took some games off this year (like Jevon Keares did at UF).

Night train must have never seen any of his good games or any games last year. McFadden is every bit as fast as AP if not faster. I do think he may get busted up pretty good in the NFL if he continues to run that upright, but he can deliver some punishment as well. Whether you like him or not, he sure as hell is fun to watch run when he is on. The games vs Alabama and LSU this year and basically all last year where rather incredible considering he and Felix were all Arkansas had and they still ran all over people.

I am not a Arkansas fan, I am a misplaced Canes fan. I just live in SEC territory and they were on TV a lot around here.

McFadden has pull away speed. Adrian Peterson is fast enough that when he gets by a defender he can stay in front of them because hes about as fast as the defender. McFadden has Ted Ginn like speed, he pulls away from people.

At least thats how i understood it.

if we keep the #1 OVERALL WE SELECT CHRIS LONG .
if we trade and the other long is there our first pick will be LT Jake Long . simply because either one of the longs fill our biggest needs and are great both of them . i dont think we select dorsey nor ryan .
