I had to post this. I was just watching NFL Network and they were showing highlights of the game yesterday. They showed a clip of Davone Bess fumbling the punt and the guy on the show named Fran pronouned his name "Duhvonee Beez". No lie.

On a totally unrelated note...Randy McMichael was put on IR...broken tibia.

so because someone mispronouced someones name that he probably never heard of before in his life, he automatically has an iq below 60 (which is a moron) and therefore has mental issues and probably no education since it would be a bigger hamper on learning.

sorry but mispronoucing someones name has no logicl factual basis for anything. Its the same as people trying to say someone is dumb because they hit a c instead of a v while typing and made a typo. I am a bit confused- was a post deleted or edited because I never saw anything on here about someone with mental issues and no education

Now I did see someone criticize (overly heavy) a sportscaster about mispronouncing a name, go figure someone would criticize a sportscaster who gets paid 5 figures to analysis games and pronounce names correctly.

The way I see it if I am being paid to explain myself to a group of individuals and I cannot do my job I am leaving myself open to criticism.

I guess that means maybe a 5 figure salary gives you a free pass

The funniest thing about your "response" is that nowhere in the post did akron call into question his education. Seriously, stop overanalyzing such a simple post. If it were my JOB to comment on NFL football, I would make damn sure I could pronounce players' names.

Yeah his name is pretty easy to say. Did anybody else notice in watching the game on cbs that one of the announcers kept calling Joey Porter "Jerry" Porter? On the other hand I still have a hard time saying the name of our guard that replaced donald thomas.

Why? McMichael beats pregnant women. Combine that with the fact he seemed to have a knack for dropping key passes and was more or less a perinial loser who was a part of our worst era in franchise history and has gone to a team who now loses at an all time pace, why the hell would you root for the guy?

The guy has a midas touch for aiding a team to becoming a really bad team. Im sure it isnt coincidence. He plays a big role in that. And like I said, he beats pregnant women. Basically a dumb thug. I hope he gets injured some more and never plays in the league again. Serves him right.
