Sherman was once part of the Texas A&M coaching staff as an assistant that recruited Manning out of Newman High in New Orleans. It was one of the few visits Manning made during the recruiting process in which he chose the University of Tennessee.

i think Mort is more credible than Schefter IMO.

So because he didn't go with Sherman out of college, he some how doesn't respect the things Sherman achieved after that meeting?

Sorry, I'm not following your logic.

As far as how it helps. They know each other before when, and both have a base of communications to build off of. It's no smaller than the one he has with ARZ HC.
 
Sherman and Philbin is all we got in terms of landing Manning. Ireland and Ross need to get the hell away.
 
People on here really crack me up.......how the heck is that a good thing?.......so he went to Tenn so I guess the titans will get him?....oh wait, Elways was a QB so he's going to denver.......wait wait, the cards have a great WR so the cards are the front runners.....wait.....give me a break. I don't want us to get him as I feel is a big mistake but one way or the other I hope he picks a damd team fast so all the BS can stop.
