NFL says no agreement yet on drug policy. Still "unresolved issues." One may be reinstatement of players for this weekend. One procedural

Not sure how its not with all of the reports it is but he just put it on twitter. Hoping to have Jordan & Jones back SOON.

I think some guys jumped the gun on reporting. They probably read the new policy and assumed certain players would be reinstated by the new guidelines and as to their reason for suspension. They probably still have to go back to the testing and see exactly which substance each player failed for and file individual reports. May take time and it sounds like they don't want to interrupt all of the teams game plans for Sunday and Monday. Jones and Jordan should be good to go next week , IMO.

This story is starting to get brutal.

Just as I expected. The players will return next week.

That is not fair to the players that are currently on rosters that will get cut. Let them have this week. Imagine you are that guy thinking you at least have 4 weeks of work and then this agreement happens. Tough.

I don't know all of the players affected, but if anyone from the Steelers or Ravens would be affected, how is it fair to reinstate the rest of them for week 2 when their game was already played? As much as I would love to have Jones back, it is too late in the week. Reinstatement should be for week 3, in fairness to all 32 teams.

Should have been better players. League is brutal. I hear ya though.

Luck of the draw, what if you are a backup player who never sees the field but your team makes the playoffs. You get an extra pay check that other players around the league don't get. Or what about when Katrina came through New Orleans and the saints had to play a few extra road games?? Did the league make the rest of the league play extra road games to make it fair? Life isn't fair.

Its not really fair for Jones and Jordan either who are losing huge chunks of cash. And I'm sure would like to help the team too.

Not fair? They broke the rules and got punished. It's the epitome of fair.

I wouldn't expect no announcement on any players being reinstated until after 4pm.

Still no final agreement between the NFL/ NFLPA on new drug rules. 4pm ET is deadline to activate a player. So time running out for Week 2

I guess we finally get to find out what Jordan tested positive for. There was a lot of speculation because of the weight gain.
