mortenson: "nick saban in no mood to romance owens"

yeah it sounds weird. mortensen started out his little report with "where is TO? apparently not in miami"
 
mort has been pretty bad these past couple months...very inaccurate
 
I think it means Nick won't kiss TO's butt. He either wants to commit to being a phin or doesn't. No games.
 
Just said he is in no mood to "romance TO". Didn't say he wasn't interested. Could all be the master plan of Master Saban.
 
Yeah, he's in no mood to trade for him. Why talk to him now when he is still under contract? Watch his activity if he gets released to gauge his real interest. Anyone who trades for Owens is an idiot. Even if it's to make sure they get him, getting a guy like T.O. on the bad contract is a bad idea. Let him pick your organization Because if he isn't completely in love with them, he is going to be unhappy.
 
Another thing if Saban is interested and Owens get released look for Owens to want to play for Miami. Except for us not having a good QB I think Owens would like to live in Miami He seems like the type to anyway that just an opinion though.
 
Hopefully Nick isn't interested in T.O. Maybe T.O. came in a made a terrible impression on Saban with his attitude. Who knows. Saban could be blowing smoke - much like he did last year with Ricky. He kept saying there wasn't nothing to talk about, he wasn't sure if Ricky was coming, didn't know what Ricky's intentions were. All the while, I think Nick had a pretty good idea what was going on. But he didn't let on at all. And whatever his intentions are this time, he isn't going to show his hand.
 
Well I guess this is what happens when you are on tv and have air time to fill.
 
You can seem sage as an "Insider" expressing full on BS.

My personal impression is that Nick is doing a full on press to make people thingk we want TO.

There is no way in hell TO winds up here. Nick will feign interest in TO
and, go another way.

There is no doubt in my mind that Nick will land an O-lineman.

It's funny how all these so-called experts are saying.."Oh..CC's backing off! Saban told him to back off and stop blowing it! That's why he did it!" TO is a DOLPHIN!" :sidelol:

Didn't Nick say he's willing to do anything so long as it's best for the team? That, also being the logical approach of every coach in the NFL really has me clueless as to why he'd jsut decide to say NO. Kinda weird, because Mort seems to know what he's on about half the time.
