I'm sorry, but i dont believe a word out of his mouth. I'm still miffed about how he sadi parcells was considering retirement. And then parcells tells him he's nuts, then Mort still says that he's thinking about retiring... and then what happens? Parcells signs an extension!!!

All i'm saying is Mort is working on hunches a lot of the time...

We nobody has 100% accuracy in thier sources no matter what a few people on this board think and its called trying to be first with a story. I'm sure mort has alot of good sources but of course things happen and change.

i hope its only a hunch....i want to keep our current coaching staff intact...

Why is he wrong about Linehan...is he saying Linehan will leave?

I think alot of time the stuff they report is real info that they have heard, but as a fan you have to take it as just that...rumor. Sometimes the parties involved are considering something but go another direction.

Personally, I like the rumor mill.

I for one hope that Mort is right, we were good this year and need to open our offense some but Linhan often forgot we had two good backs at crucial times.

if linehan leaves, norv turner could come back. our offense was pretty good with him as coach, also mike martz could be available as well as many others

I hope Linehan doesn't go. But if he does in fact get the Rams job, the best option for OC may already be on our team. Baggett now has been here for a year and he has worked closely with Linehan for a few years and probably shares the same idea for an offensive plan. He may be the best option to continue the chemistry and the playbook.

I hope he leaves, there were a lot of times this year that our offense made no sense. It did improve when he came down to field level but why did it take so long for him to figure out we could run the ball.

Ditto. Linehan has made an impact on our whole offense that i think will only be bigger if he stays.
Not to mention the whole aspect that a new coach coming in means new offense, new lingo...it sets us back.

Yeah but that also means that we are going to have to learn a new offense. That also means that the value of having Gus on the roster is deminished. I think if Linehan does leave it could prove to be very bad for the fins. I really hope that he doesn't leave.

Well Charlie Weiss left NE and the ofense seemes fine. I think we will just promote Baggart if we lose Scott and hopefully we tweak the offense to be better.

I would like to keep Linehan, but this is a good post
