MOSS DEAL DONE
A league source tells us that the Patriots and receiver Randy Moss have agreed to a new contract. Per the source, the deal is for three years, $27 million.
The contract hasn't been signed, and the language is being finalized.
It's unknown how much of the deal is guaranteed, signing bonus, etc.

I know this belongs in AFC forum but nobody looks in there lol.

Lol I told you, I have nothing to do because I am really sick so I could at least update you guys.

It seems to me like the best Pat's players are like rats jumping off ship while it is going down. They are still a very old team...they have lost Samuel, Stallworth, and possible another key DB and wide receiver. Bruschi, Seau and Vrabel don't seem to want to retire.....I see the Pats winning the AFC East but I think their days of domination are over.

Samuel, Stallworth, and Gay.... None were offered contracts by NE so I don't see how you can say rats jumping off ship. Its more like rats being thrown off the ship.

Of the three Samuel was the only key player. Gay was primarily a nickel back who spent more time on IR than he did on the field and Stallworth was the #3 WR in NE offense which Gaffney of Washington can replace for a lot less coin. I'm glad they didn't re-sign Samuel (5 yr 57 million) he just flat out not worth that kind of money.
Rumor has it Ty law is hinting around about a return to NE which he could possibly replace Samuel or certainly replace Gay but its just a rumor right now.
Speaking of a teams best player and rats jumping ship I am hearing JT wants out of Miami.

Patriots bring back Moss

BOSTON (AP)—Randy Moss is staying with the New England Patriots.
The defending AFC champions re-signed the record-breaking receiver on Monday to a three-year deal worth $27 million, his agent said. The signing was confirmed by the team shortly after Moss posted a message to fans on his Web site.
“I want to take time out to thank all of the fans for their support and for wishing me well in my return to New England,†therealrandymoss.com quotes him as saying. “I’m ready to get back. We have some unfinished business to take care of.â€
Moss’ agent, Tim DiPiero, said the deal included guarantees of $15 million, including a $12 million signing bonus to the receiver who set an NFL record with 23 touchdown catches and helped the Patriots reach the Super Bowl in his first season with the team.

Screw 'em, Moss made his dash for the cash and will revert back to his lazy selfish self.

What can I say? We all saw this signing comming. I was hoping a miracle would happen & NE would let him go but lets be real: we all knew he wasn't going anywhere after the season he had.

#1 this is old news...(when you spend your entire day on profootballtalk, rotoworld & kffl.com

#2 this is not dolphin related.

I think I would rather see them retain just Moss, and lose Stallworth, Gay, and Samuel then have those three players and let Moss go, but thats just my opinion.

The only real loss there is Samuel, Gay is quite replaceable as is stallworth.
