O-line. These are basically the same players who played last year and the results are a complete 180. McIntosh seems to have solidified the LT spot now that he is healthy. Not sure if we spend tons of money on a rookie LT unless someone falls into our laps unexpected. Jeno James, believe it or not, almost seems like the weak link now. He has been penalized many times recently and due to his age and contract, I wouldn't be surprised if he is replaced in the offseason. He has been solid though. Good to see him bounce back from a traumatic training camp. Rex Hadnot needs improvement as well but remember, he is a late roundpick who is starting in the NFL. He is obviously doing something right. Vernon Carey had tapped some of his potential and kept the reserves on the bench. He should continue to improve in the coming years.
Thie biggest leap in improvement though has to go to Seth McKinney. The guy went from public enemy number one to barely being mentioned. Trust me, that is a good thing. He seems to have finally figured out how to play the position a little bit and who knows? Maybe he will turn out to be actually....good! I dunno if he powdered his butt to make it less sweaty or what, but the center to QB exchange has been virtualy flawless. In fact, the only times I remember them being botched were on the shotgun formation where Frerotte couldn't handle the ball. Even if one of those turned into a TD so...
I think runner up has to go to two people. Vonnie Holliday. This guy was an underachieving injury prone player elsewhere. He has been nothing but good since he donned Miami's colors. Also, Wes Welker. Everyone knows he could run back punts and kicks. Hell people know he could even kick a field goal if needed. Did anyone know he could be so effective as a receiver? He has turned himself into a threat every time he is on the field. I just wish we would utilize him more often.
