Don't get me wrong, I like our signings but of the needed holes we filled there are more questions than there are answers. All of these people need to perform especially Daunte, in order for us to have a solid team. Even with our first pick in the draft, we have someone that "could be" injury prone. It's a gamble I hope pay's off but most of our eggs look to be in one basket IMO. Just an observation.

I hear ya, but I don't think Saban would have brought them in, if he didn't think they will help us win.

They wont all work out.The hope is that we can find depth from those players.Thats the difference between good teams and great teams.

I'm sure hoping b/c I love this team on paper but we have got to gel as a team-Fast.

i dont think that is completely the case. i know we got some guys like that. people like jason allen but his performance at the combine proved he is healthy. i dont think injury free football players exsist. well damn. bill b let a daggum stroke victim play linebacker for him. that turned out ok

Belichek won picking up role players from the bargain bin of the "used player" department. Saban is following in that mold. And now that we have Harrington, Culpepper is not as much of an "eggs in one basket decision"

I wouldn't say that all our eggs are in one basket. I would say all our eggs are in many baskets, but all the baskets have holes in them, in which our eggs may or may not fall out of.

i like all the moves we have made so far this offseason however i would of really liked to get lavar but im trusting saban completely on this i mean its the era of saban and for now we have to trust and go with everything he does until he shows us otherwise, right now we are on the winning pace and until something goes wrong im not going to question why saban made any paticular move

We could have made a couple of more big splashes in free agency had we not needed another year to clean up the Wannspiel cap mess, but Culpepper was the key to the offseason.

I know what you mean, every signing seems to have a scratch or dent, some kind of shortcoming. Now here's reality. You rarely see perfect players, and if there ever is one, you even more rarely see teams want to give him up. I think with Culpepper especially, we have done all that's possible. bring in a backup that looks like he can play. I mean, Harrington did not perform up to potential in Detroit, but if he had, he would not have been available. So we have a guy that seems to be recovering well from major rehab. And a guy who seems to have the tools but hopefully was in a bad situation in Detroit.
I know not all of our signing will pan out, but you have to think that not all of them will crap out either.

Look no further than the Pats, those bast***ds always seem to fill in the holes with "average" players.

They did nothing in FA, I was loving it and then all of a sudden they had a GREAT draft AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Oh well I hope we did enough to take their crown!!

right, it is all about saban making the right choices.

he knows the dilly kid.

bee lee that

We might have some bargain basement guys, but look at all the competition we should have in our "needs" area: QB's, D-backs, O-line, Receiver. It looks like we are now adding some Linebackers. Not all of the guys will work out but Saban is fitting the pieces together nicely.

Very true. Look at all the guys in the secondary that can be tryed if one does not quite work. I really like that feeling of depth and the addage of more regular joes than just one star. I'd love to get Ty LAw but the dude wants 10 mil. How much did LaVar want again? Those dudes are carazy. We went the only road we could and have ridden the motherfrogger pretty well.
