Move Zach to OLB???

How many of you grew tired of seeing 54 dominated by Mawae last year on 3rd and short?....1st down.....well i did!! and it's just a matter of phyics (235 vs 300), not heart because to play the middle linebacker position in a game as violent takes 100% heart and huge n*tz!

so i think that with the attack style defense that King Saban:aj: is installing for our enjoyment we could capitalize on the strong suits of 54 instead of being dominated by his weakness (size and weight in the middle only, for you 54 lovers!!) I really think that Zach could be a real terror coming from the outside because his height wouldn't be a factor.

when he did blitz last year he would just get caught up in the wash alot, but coming from the outside would make him and instant disruptive force because he could make moves in space! and one thing we all know is that Zach will run you down!!! it's his strong suit!!! plus, he could cover 90% of the TE's in the league! Good move or bad...??? Hit me up!!

Going for broke today? I think that it would be a BAD idea. I could see certain situations were that might happen.

He doesn't have the speed to play outside. And in his time here, he's also shown that he's a pretty lousy blitzer. He's a great player, but blitzing is not one of his strengths.
 
What do you propose? We hop into the Wayback Machine(tm) and go back about 50 years to where the Middle Linebacker position was called Nose Guard actually lined up in a 3 point stance over the Center?

All prodding aside, Zach is actually going to line up at OLB from time to time this season. Just like Jason Taylor is going to spend alot of the time lining up opposite of the Tight End, Zach will spend time lining up at the Weakside linebacker position, wherein a bigger linebacker like Seau, Crowder, Taylor, Bowens will line up at MLB and play a more aggressive, gap-filling role that will excite all of the Madden-types like Erroneous.

I trust that if Zach were better suited for OLB, then Saban would move him there...

If Saban plays (and starts) him at MLB, then I trust it is Zach's/Dolphins' best use for him.
